XPack Companion

Syncs your modpack achievements to your XPack profile and shows them in game. Client-side, optional.
# XPack Companion

**Turn every modpack you play into a collection of achievements.**

XPack Companion links your game to [XPack](https://xpack.saaoz.fr), a website that tracks your progress across Minecraft modpacks, Steam-style. Each advancement you earn in a modpack, from vanilla Minecraft or from any of the pack's mods, becomes an achievement on your XPack profile. It comes with points, rarity, completion tiers and rankings against other players of the same modpack.

The mod is **client-side only** and **fully optional**: you add it to any modpack you like, servers don't need it, and modpack creators don't have to do anything.

---

## Why use it?

Big modpacks have hundreds of advancements spread across dozens of mods, but the game only shows them in a cramped menu, and they disappear with your world. XPack keeps them on a profile that lasts:

- **Your achievements, per modpack**: see what you've unlocked, what's left, and how rare each achievement is among XPack players.
- **Completion tiers**: reach 25 %, 50 %, 75 % and 100 % of a modpack's achievements to earn a medal (πŸ₯‰πŸ₯ˆπŸ₯‡πŸ†). Completion is kept per modpack version, so an update that adds content never erases what you've done.
- **Rankings that mean something**: only achievements earned fairly count. No `/give`, no creative mode, no flying in survival.
- **A library of everything you've played**: play time, worlds, last session and progress for each modpack.

## What you get in game

- **Achievement toasts** with the points earned and the rarity of the achievement (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary), plus a special toast for each completion tier. The sound is configurable (chime, bell, fanfare or off).
- **A status badge** in the pause menu: counted, offline (waiting to send), not counted, or test world.
- **A settings screen** (pause menu → βš™, Mod Menu on Fabric, the mods list on NeoForge/Forge, or `/xpack settings`) to link your account, turn sending, toasts and sounds on or off, or contact support.
- **Offline-friendly**: if XPack can't be reached, your progress waits on your computer and is sent later. The game is never slowed down: network and disk work run on a separate thread.

## Fair play, without bans

XPack warns you instead of punishing you:

- Before a **cheat command** runs (`/give`, `/gamemode creative`, `/tp`…), a screen asks you to confirm. If you go ahead, that world simply stops counting. Achievements you already earned are kept.
- **Creative mode, spectator mode, flying or invulnerability in survival**, and known **cheat mods** are detected automatically. A short in-game notice tells you the world no longer counts and why. If the detection is wrong (for example, a modpack jetpack), the notice has a **Contact support** button.
- Want to experiment? Mark a world as a **test world**: it is never tracked and never flagged. A world the mod first sees in creative mode becomes a test world automatically.

## Getting started

1. Install the mod in your modpack instance. Modrinth App and the CurseForge app pick the right version for you.
2. Launch the game, open the pause menu → βš™ → **Link my XPack account** (or type `/xpack settings`). The mod shows a short code.
3. Enter that code on [xpack.saaoz.fr/link](https://xpack.saaoz.fr/link). From then on, your achievements show up on your profile.

The modpack is recognised automatically (Modrinth, CurseForge or launcher files). You don't need to pick it anywhere.

## Data sent

The first time you join a world, the mod asks for your consent and lists what is sent. Nothing is sent until you agree and link your account. Asking for a link code sends your Minecraft UUID and name. Once linked, the mod sends to the XPack API (https://xpack.saaoz.fr):

- the modpack's name, version and platform, and a world identifier;
- the advancements you earn, the statistics the modpack's achievements need, and your play time;
- the modpack's advancement list (titles and descriptions as the game shows them);
- technical details: Minecraft version, loader, mod version, number of loaded mods and a fingerprint (hash) of their list;
- the world difficulty (and whether it is hardcore), which sets the points of your achievements;
- whether other players are online (yes or no only, no names), for the "Team" badge;
- integrity signals used against cheating: game mode, whether cheats are allowed, flight or invulnerability outside creative, cheat commands you confirm.

**Never sent**: chat, other players, the content of your worlds, your files, the address of the server you play on.

The full list of loaded mods is sent only if you contact support from the mod. You can turn sending off in the settings, unlink the mod, export your data or delete your account at any time from the website.

## Compatibility

| Loader | Minecraft | Java |
|---|---|---|
| Fabric (and Quilt) | 1.21.1 | 21 |
| NeoForge | 1.21.1 | 21 |
| Forge | 1.20.1 | 17 |

- No dependencies: no Fabric API or library to install.
- Works in singleplayer and multiplayer. On a server, only the advancements the server shows you are tracked. The server does not need the mod.

## For modpack creators

You can ship XPack Companion in your pack as an **optional** client mod: players choose whether to enable it. Nothing to declare, nothing to register: XPack recognises your modpack by itself. See [xpack.saaoz.fr/mod](https://xpack.saaoz.fr/mod#creators).

## Support

Questions, a wrong detection or a bug? Use **Contact support** in the mod's settings or write from [xpack.saaoz.fr](https://xpack.saaoz.fr).
