Xiaoxiang Black Tech โ€” 0.1.3

Block Collision Fixes

Made for Xiaoxiang Cultivation World 0.2.106 or later (its Modrinth line). Every release names the cultivation mod it was made for, here and on the Mods page, so the pairing is never in doubt.

Everything since 0.1.2 of 26 October is in here: Dense Coal ninety-nine tiers high, from x2 to x100, every tier holding exactly the coal it was pressed from and every tier with a use of its own; the Coal Press become the Sumeru Press in five grades, a thirty-seven-slot grid that presses coal, spirit stones and every solid thing into compressed items, and keeps whatever you put in it until you come back to finish; Dense Spirit Stone Blocks pressed from the cultivation mod's own stones; screens that join side by side into one great display, show a bar for everything a block holds, open as a terminal over every chest you tie together, and drink their power from Wireless Power Emitters; wires and pipes for every current, with an adapter and five transformers between them; item pipes, filters, the Digital Storage and the drives an Akashic Reader reads into it, and a Liquid Storage; every gas of a room's air read, and the refiner keeping all of it; and the matter system - every block and item weighed in SE and atoms, a Decompiler that breaks things into their elements, an Atomic Matter Storage that keeps them by the astronomical amount with SE of its own, drives to carry them, and a Compiler alive with flowing energy that prints anything back out. The six sections at the top always say where things stand: what is new, what changed, what was fixed, what is in but not finished, what you may run into, and what was caught before you could. Below them, a line apiece for what 0.1.2, 0.1.1 and 0.1.0 brought; their full notes stay with those releases.

๐Ÿ†• New

โšซ Dense Coal, ninety-nine tiers high

Coal can now be pressed on itself. Thirty-seven coal - coal and charcoal count as one - press into one Dense Coal x2; thirty-seven x2 into an x3; and so on, all the way to Dense Coal x100. Every tier holds exactly the coal it was pressed from - x2 holds 37, x3 1,369, x4 50,653 - and its tooltip says so, in figures you can read at a glance even when the number runs to 156 digits. Nothing is rounded and nothing is lost on the way up.

๐ŸŒŒ The Sumeru Press: a world inside a grain of mustard seed

The Coal Press has become the Sumeru Press, in all five grades - the same machine, the same place in your base, a far greater grid. Thirty-seven slots in rows of 3, 5, 7, 7, 7, 5 and 3: a five-by-five square with three more out from the middle of every side. Fill every slot with the same thing, feed it SE, and it presses one of the tier above. Dense Coal now climbs thirty-seven of the tier below, and the coal road's grade-ups were re-picked to the tiers nearest the coal they always asked for - the heaven parts from x7 to x10, Dark Matter from x11.

What you put in the grid stays there, in the very slot you put it in - close the window, leave the world, come back to a half-filled press. Hoppers and shift-clicks fill it one piece a slot; sneak-break it and it keeps its grid whole in the item.

โš’๏ธ The Sumeru Press crafts, too

The Sumeru Press is a crafting bench now as well as a press! Lay a Sumeru recipe out in its grid - up to thirty-seven things, each in the slot its pattern asks - and the result shows over the output; press Craft and it is made for the recipe's price in stable SE, straight into your inventory. A grid that matches a recipe always crafts; a grid of one thing still presses, just as it always has.

Twenty-five deep recipes open a second road to the finest things: the High, Supreme and Immortal Crystal Reactors, the Supreme and Immortal Casing Cores, every Immortal battlesuit piece and its modules, the Immortal Matter Compiler and Atomic Matter Storage, the Immortal Sumeru Press itself and the Star Forge. Each asks ten to thirteen kinds of things from four tiers or more, for 160,000 to 2,000,000 SE - and every crafting-table recipe stays as it was.

Two arrows beside the result turn through every recipe: the one shown is drawn pale over the grid with its materials listed, and a shift-click lays your stack where it belongs. Other mods' alloys and circuits count wherever those mods are installed; without them, a thing of the game's or of ours stands in.

๐Ÿ“ฆ Compressed things: a mountain in your pocket

When your Atomic Matter Storage is full, press the rest. Any solid block, ingot, ore, raw ore or chunk - cobblestone, iron, diamonds, the lot - pressed thirty-seven to one in the Sumeru Press becomes one compressed item of tier I, and thirty-seven of a tier make one of the next, all the way to tier X: 4,808,584,372,417,849 of the thing in a single item. It is drawn as the thing it holds inside its tier's frame, its count written in the short scale on its tooltip, and it stacks to 64. An unpacking slot with a Decompress button gives the thirty-seven back whenever you need them. Its worth in the matter machines is exactly thirty-seven to its tier times what it holds; the Digital Storage and its drives keep every compressed thing apart by what it holds. Things with a store of their own, coal and spirit stones (which keep their own ladders) and compressed things themselves are never pressed this way.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Every tier has a use

A Coal Generator of any grade burns any tier for every coal inside it, at its own pace, and its window counts down the burn left; the furnace takes x2 to x4. Every tier from x6 to x9 makes ten of a heaven-tier part on its own, and every tier from x10 up makes Dark Matter on its own - more from the tiers only the higher presses reach. Every tier has its own item tag, so packs and machines to come can ask for any of them.

๐Ÿ’Ž Dense Spirit Stone Blocks

The cultivation mod's Low, Mid, High and Supreme spirit stones press the same way: thirty-seven stones, one a slot, make a Dense Spirit Stone Block of their grade, and thirty-seven blocks the next density, up to x6. A block is worth every stone pressed into it, and every machine that burns spirit stones burns it at that worth. Nothing presses back down - the road up is one way.

๐Ÿ“บ Screens join into one great display

Set screens of the same kind and grade side by side on a wall, all facing the same way, and they become one screen: one frame, one sheet of glass, one title and one reading drawn across the whole face, up to ten screens each way. A wall of six Forge Energy bars is one bar three blocks wide and two tall. Break a screen out of the middle and the rest fall into the largest whole rectangles left, every one still linked; put it back and the wall is whole again. Screens laid on a floor or hung from a ceiling join too, so long as they were all set down facing the same way. A link, a setting or a label given to any screen of a joined one goes to every screen in it, and using any of them opens the window for the whole. A joined LED gives its signal from every screen, and a joined Inventory Screen shows a grid as large as its face

  • eight things a block, up to a hundred. Walls set up before this update join the first time they load.

๐Ÿ“Š A bar for everything a block holds

Bar, Percent and Number Screens have a new reading, Everything it holds, and it is the first one a new link shows. Link a screen to a block that holds more than one thing and every store gets a bar or a row of its own, each named, measured and coloured for what it holds: a machine's own bars, SE, Forge Energy, the qi of the cultivation mod's Alchemy Core, Refining Core and Formation Core Plate, every tank, and the slots of a small inventory one by one (a chest counts as one store). As many rows show as the face has room for

  • three on a single screen, ten at most on a joined one - and when a block holds more, the screen turns a page every five seconds, because Forge Energy, millibuckets and items were never meant to be added together. A reading you chose before this update stays just as it was.

๐Ÿงพ The Inventory Screen becomes a terminal

Use a linked Inventory Screen and the inventory it watches opens as one list - each kind of thing once, with its true count however vast, searched by name, sorted by count or by name, scrolled with the wheel or a bar you can actually drag. Click to take a stack, right-click for half, shift-click straight into your pack, or drop what you carry onto the list to put it away; every move goes through the inventory's own rules, and nothing is ever lost or doubled. The window stays open only while the link holds - break the chest, unlink the screen or walk off, and it closes.

๐Ÿ”— Chests tied into one

Mark a chest with the Signal Link, then use the Link on other chests, barrels or any inventory: they are tied into one group - up to a hundred, each within thirty blocks of the first. Link an Inventory Screen to any of them and the terminal shows the whole group as one list, taking a stack from whichever chests hold it and putting things into the first with room. Sneak and use the Link on a tied chest to untie it.

๐Ÿ“ก Screens drink power the way a real device does

An Immortal screen is born charged: it comes out of the crafting grid holding 1,000,000 J - 400,000 Forge Energy - a gift that is spent only when its feed runs dry and is never refilled; break it and the item carries what is left. Every other grade starts empty.

Every screen now draws by the job it does, a block at a time: switched off, unlinked or idle it sips 10 FE a second; reading redstone or an inventory, 20; a room's air, a tank or a store of energy, 40; a whole machine, 100. Every kind's window has an on-off switch. Feed it through its back, a cable, or a Wireless Power Emitter in reach; without power it says Offline across its face and keeps its secrets.

The Inventory Screen pays by the move: every take or put through it costs 10 FE (a setting, from free to a million), moving things around inside the chest costs nothing, and a move it cannot pay for is refused in red. A power bar runs along the window's foot with its figure written short, and each paid move floats up as -10 FE and fades away.

๐Ÿ›ฐ๏ธ Wireless Power Emitters

Power without a wire, in five grades and one for each current - Forge Energy, stable SE, raw SE and ISE. An emitter takes its current in the way any block of that current does and hands it out to every screen and every machine in its reach that runs on it, 10 blocks at Low doubling to 160, sharing in turn - a tenth of what it sends is lost to the air on the way. Its window shows what it holds, how many it feeds and what went out in the last second - and now settles it all: switch it on and off or leave it to redstone; pull its reach in or let it out ten blocks at a time, drawn as jade rings around it while the window is open; choose what it feeds - screens, machines, batteries and cubes, other emitters; choose how it shares - evenly, nearest first or emptiest first; cap what any one block may take a tick, from 10 to 10,000; and feed every block in reach or only those its owner placed. Every choice stays with the emitter, even when you lift it whole.

๐ŸŒซ๏ธ The Air Array's qi on a screen

Link a Bar Screen to Realm Expansion's Air Array and its qi now stands as a bar of its own beside the water in its tank and the charcoal in its slot - water, qi and charcoal, three readings at a glance.

โš›๏ธ The worth of everything

Every block and item in the game now has a worth: so much SE and so many atoms, made of twenty-two elements - nineteen of the real world's, from hydrogen to mercury, and three the cultivation world knows better: Netherite, Ender and Spirit. Raw things are weighed by hand, by how rare they are and how deep they lie; everything made from them is worked out from the server's own recipes every time it starts or reloads - crafting, smelting and its kin, stonecutting and smithing - and the cheapest road to a thing sets its worth. Hover anything to read it ("Worth 2,560 SE ยท 1,000 atoms"), and hold Shift for what it is made of, element by element. The cultivation world's spirit stones, their ores and vein cores, the Dense Spirit Stone Blocks, the world's own foundation and anything made only of these are never broken down and never made: their worth belongs to the cultivation world alone - the one road to a stone is a compiled ore at an astronomical price, below.

๐Ÿงช Atomic Matter Storage

One block in all five grades, a glowing core behind its glass with atoms circling it. It keeps atoms element by element, as exact whole numbers, by the astronomical amount - a Low vessel holds ten to the hundred-and-ninetieth power of them, written as 10 MB, an Immortal one 2.56 GB - and stable SE of its own, a hundred million at Low and four times more each grade. Vessels touching on any face join into one store, the frames between them gone so they look as one; each still keeps its own share of the atoms and the SE, and breaking one drops it with everything it carried, ready to set down again. Its window shows the space used and the room left in bytes, the store's SE as a bar, the vessels joined, and every element as an atom of its own - as many electron shells as the real element has, coloured by its family - searched and scrolled. A Number or Bar Screen reads its matter and its room in bytes.

๐Ÿ”จ The Matter Decompiler

Things go in at the top and come apart - as much of a stack as the store has room for, every cycle - into the atoms of their own elements, straight into the Atomic Matter Storage it touches. A tenth of each piece's worth comes back as stable SE, poured straight into the store's own SE, and whatever the store cannot hold is given out of its other faces into a cube or along a Spirit Conduit. A cycle takes a second at Low, faster each grade. Dense Coal goes in whole, every atom of every coal pressed into it counted exactly. It turns away the never-list, anything with no worth, and anything carrying a name, an enchantment, wear or contents of its own.

๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ The Matter Compiler, alive with flowing energy

Its window holds every block and item that has a worth: a search box over a grid of their icons with a scroll bar you can grab and drag, and beside it the chosen thing in a column of its own, a faint ring of runes turning behind it, its make-up laid out as a row of atoms - red where the store holds too few. Counts go by the stack (-64, -1, +1, +64; past a stack it reads "3 stacks

  • 10 (202)"), the price of the whole order in SE and atoms stands beneath, and the time left under the bars. It draws its atoms from the store it touches and its stable SE from the store first, then from every face, and prints a whole stack a cycle into the chest beside it - two seconds a cycle at Low, faster each grade. With no chest beside it, it says No chest nearby and Print waits. A piece costs its atoms and a hundred times its worth in SE, paid a share each tick, so even the dearest print goes ahead as fast as SE comes in; it waits whenever SE, atoms or room run out, and carries on the moment they return. Making things costs far more than breaking them gives back, so no loop ever runs at a profit - and the Codex's Matter chapter shows the figures.

And the window is alive: circuit traces of jade and gold are etched into it, and while it prints, pulses of light race along them from the SE bar, past the grid, into the chosen thing and on to Print - faster at a faster grade. The Decompiler's and the store's windows carry the same flow, quieter.

๐Ÿ”‹ The Matter Energy Port

In five grades, joining a store as a vessel does, it pumps the store's stable SE in or out through each face as you set it - from a Spirit Conduit, a Spiritual Energy Cube or any block that gives SE, or out along a conduit - ten thousand SE a tick at Low, sixteen times that at Immortal. It takes no Forge Energy and no raw SE.

๐Ÿ’ฝ The Atomic Matter Drive

Atoms carried away like a flash drive, in four sizes - 100 kB, 1 MB, 10 MB and 100 MB. Put one in the store's window and press Load drive - every element, or only those you clicked - then take it to any other store and press Unload drive. Only what fits ever moves, and not an atom is lost or made; its tooltip shows its size, how full it is and its largest elements.

๐Ÿ’Ž Spirit stone ores, at an emperor's price

The Matter Compiler can print every grade of spirit stone ore - never the stones themselves - at an astronomical price: a Compiled Low Spirit Stone Ore costs a million SE for a stone worth ten, a Supreme one a billion. A compiled ore cannot be set down; its stone comes out only in the new Spirit Ore Extractor, in five grades, which takes an ore from a hopper above and some stable SE and pushes the cultivation stone of that grade into the chest beside or below it - one stone an ore, just as a mined ore gives without Fortune. It takes the cultivation mod's own ore blocks, broken whole with Silk Touch, the same way. No road through any machine ever turns a printed ore back into a profit.

๐Ÿ”Œ Cables for every current, at last

Black Tech's power finally has roads of its own. FE Cables carry Forge Energy, Immortal Conduits carry Immortal Spiritual Energy and Fluid Pipes carry any fluid, one at a time - each in five grades, from 4,000 FE, 100 ISE or 100 mB a tick at Low to sixteen times that at Immortal, while the Spirit Conduits go on carrying SE. A wire joins only its own current and the blocks that use it, so currents never mix. Whatever feeds a run is shared among every block along it that takes it; a battery's front is drawn from by the cable that touches it - the Qi Battery's front finally has a way out - and a battery never feeds itself. A Grand Qi Battery counts as one store, the Heavenly Condenser and the Celestial Focus hand their ISE down a conduit, and a Qi Boiler's steam flows by pipe into a turbine.

๐Ÿ—๏ธ Walls that carry power, and catwalks with cables beneath

For your stations, every current also comes as two full blocks - a wall panel whose seam glows with the current, and a bundle of cables clamped over a grating, each light pulsing as it flows - that join into one seamless wall, floor or ceiling. And there is a Catwalk Grating for each current, its cable running under the plate where you can watch it.

๐Ÿ” The Power Adapter: the quick fix

Set this thin plate on any block's face and it hands that block whatever a wire brings, changed into what the block takes - Forge Energy, SE raw or stable, or ISE - at the economy's own rates, losing half in the change, in whole batches. Its tooltip owns up to it: a stopgap, every change's figure listed.

โšก The Current Transformers: the real thing

Five machines in five grades - FE into raw SE, SE into FE, SE into ISE, ISE into SE and raw SE into stable - back to the giver, front to the taker, changing at the economy's own rates with nothing lost beyond them. The raw-to-stable kind pays the Spirit Stabilizer's own price in Forge Energy through its four other faces. One window serves them all: what it holds, what it made, and what came in and went out over the last second. No chain of transformers, adapters and machines ever ends with more than it began with, and the Codex's new Wires and Pipes chapter has every figure.

๐Ÿšš Item Pipes, and the three hands on their ends

Things travel at last. Item Pipes join one another in a thin line, and three parts set on a pipe's end against any inventory decide what moves: the Extractor pulls out what its filter lets through, the Inserter puts in what its filter lets through - the highest priority first - and the Adapter does both, handing its inventory's things to whichever Inserter wants them. Things slide along the shortest way to an end that will take them, ends of one priority fed in turn. A thing whose end has filled, or whose pipe was broken under it, finds another end, goes home to the Adapter it came from, or waits: nothing is ever lost, and a broken pipe drops whatever it carried. Every pipe and part comes in the five grades - ten things a move once a second at Low, a hundred and sixty ten times a second at Immortal - and every part answers redstone: always, only with a signal, or only without one.

๐Ÿงน Filters that sort it all

Nine things to match - eighteen on the Advanced Filter, which can also pick one tag by name - as a whitelist or a blacklist, matching by tag or by exact data, set by clicking things into their places with nothing used up. A filter fits any part and any Digital Storage block.

๐Ÿ’พ The Digital Storage

Things kept as data, by kind, in great counts - from ten kinds of ten thousand each at Low to two thousand five hundred and sixty kinds of two million five hundred and sixty thousand each at Immortal. Blocks set touching join into one store, each carrying its own share when broken. Put things in by hand (sneak to put in every stack of that kind you carry), by hopper or by pipe; take them out through a linked Inventory Screen - the terminal, true counts and all - or through an Extractor or an Adapter. Its window lists everything it holds, searchable, with the space it uses in bytes. A store never swallows another: a shulker box with things inside, or a block lifted whole with its contents, is turned away.

๐Ÿ“€ Drives, the Akashic Reader and the Liquid Storage

The Digital Storage gets its drives. Item Drives keep things by kind on an item you carry, in five sizes from 100 kB to 1 GB, every count exact. Set them in an Akashic Reader placed against a Digital Storage - a row of nine slots a grade - and they join that store: whatever goes in fills the blocks first and the drives after, an Inventory Screen linked to the storage lists the whole network, blocks and drives alike, and the pipes reach all of it.

The Liquid Storage keeps liquids by kind in great amounts - a hundred buckets of each of ten liquids a block at Low - its blocks joined into one store wherever they touch, each keeping its own share when broken; fill it by pipe or by bucket and search every liquid it holds in its window. Liquid Drives in a Reader beside it add their room to the store. Power Drives of Forge Energy, from a million FE, make a Reader one battery bank on all its faces - and the Memory Drive copies a machine's faces and redstone with a sneaking use and sets them on another of the same kind.

๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Every breath of the air, read - and the refiner wastes none of it

The Oxygen Detector now reads the whole of a room's air. Its window lists every gas the room holds under its figures, the largest first - nitrogen 78.08%, oxygen 20.95%, argon 0.93%, carbon dioxide 400 ppm, and on down to "<1 ppm" for a trace - each named in your language, and a gas nobody has a name for yet still shown as it came. With no room to read, it tells you whether you stand in the open air of a world with air of its own or in no room at all. A new button chooses the gas its comparator follows: the room's oxygen as before, or its carbon dioxide, its nitrogen, anything in the air.

Screens read every gas too: a Number, Bar, Percent or Text Screen linked to a detector or a vent offers each gas its room holds, a Text Screen's # writes the share right into your line, and a gas that leaves the room reads "none" until it comes back.

And the Oxygen Refiner no longer lets four fifths of the air go. Of every thousand mB of raw air it splits, it keeps 200 of oxygen, 780 of nitrogen, 10 of argon and 10 of carbon dioxide, each in a store of its own, all given out of its front, the fullest first. Nitrogen, argon and carbon dioxide are gases of their own now - in tanks, canisters and Fluid Pipes like the rest - and an Oxygen Tank can be set to take one gas alone, so a row of tanks along one pipe keeps every gas apart. The Oxygen Vent still breathes oxygen alone.

๐Ÿ‰ Sects & Beasts, weighed and welcomed

When Xiaoxiang Sects & Beasts and Threateningly Mobs are installed, everything they add has its place in the matter table: a beast's parts weighed by its kind and ten times more for every realm deeper of the beast that dropped them, their recipes read like any other. What must stay rare stays rare - their keys, tokens, banners, slips, Dao seeds, eggs and unique treasures are never printed, and neither is a demon core, whose tooltip now says so. No machine loop turns a profit on any of their things. Number, Bar and Inventory Screens read a sect's Spirit-Stone Reservoir without ever taking a stone from it, and Threateningly Mobs' iron ore grinds in the Spirit Grinder.

๐Ÿ”ญ The Beast Scanner

Point it at a beast up to 20 blocks away and read its realm, its health, the Spirit its parts carry and - with Sects & Beasts installed - its rank. It works just as well without that mod.

๐ŸŽจ Cables that know their faces, and faces that wear their colours

A cable no longer reaches for everything it brushes past. FE Cables, conduits and pipes now throw an arm only toward their own kind, or toward a face that truly takes or gives what they carry. Run an FE Cable past a chest and it stays a clean, straight line; set a machine's face to energy and the arm snaps out to meet it. Immortal Conduits greet a Current Transformer only at its Immortal face, and an Item Pipe's hand reaches out only while the face behind it has something to offer.

Every machine now speaks in colour: red takes in, blue gives out, purple does both, grey does neither. The sides panel in each machine's window washes every key in its colour, with small swatches beneath for its liquids and gases. Pick up the new Engineer's Wrench (three iron ingots around a Low FE Cable) and the machine you look at wears its colours on the block itself, each face split in four: items, liquids, gases and energy. Use the wrench on a face to set its items; sneak to set its energy.

And FE Cables hold a charge. Every cable keeps a small store by its grade, 1,000 FE at Low and doubling at each grade to 16,000 FE at Immortal, and a run pools them as one. A generator that pulses, or a supply cut for a heartbeat, leaves the machines at the end of the line humming on the cables' own charge. Look at a cable to read its run's charge above your hotbar; break one, and only that cable's share goes with it.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Battlesuits worthy of their generations

Every generation of the Mystic Skeleton Battlesuit now looks like the war machine it is: plate cut into panels with seams, rivets and trims, circuits engraved in the generation's colours, the skeleton it is named for drawn across the chest and down the spine. While it has power its seams and chest core glow and slowly pulse, and a ring of light turns behind the wearer's head, larger every generation, with a finer second ring from the Seventh. Shoulder fins and a crest from the Fourth Generation; horns, a second pair of fins and a frame round the core from the Seventh; a back unit, heel jets and a taller crest from the Thirteenth; and the Nine Netherworld wears a third pair of fins. A setting of your own hides the halo.

Press U while wearing any piece (change it in Controls) and the suit's own window opens wherever you stand: its power and where the last second's came from, what it costs to run, every module on you, and the Frame's own store - ten slots a generation, up to fifty - with a spirit stone slot heading each row, plus a switch that lets the suit draw on your qi when the stones run dry, never below half your sea. The store travels with the Frame, and a Frame that breaks or burns gives up everything it held.

The Battlesuit Bay is now a machine two blocks tall: ribbed pillars with seams of light around a field of light you can see through, the suit on its mannequin inside, clamps closing on it and lights chasing along the base while it charges or mends.

๐Ÿซง The Oxygen Detector becomes the gauge of its room

Oxygen Detectors of one grade set side by side in a wall now join into one great face, the way the screens do, and the whole face watches one room; break one and it splits again. Even with no power at all the face always shows the basics - sealed or leaking, the room's oxygen and its air. Feed it power any way this mod gives power, and right-click opens its window while the face shows more by grade.

Each grade builds on the one below. Low sounds a leak alarm. Mid searches its room and tells you how many leaks there are and how fast the air is going, with the minutes left. High points to the nearest leak - which way round the compass, above or below, how far - and look at it, or hold the Signal Link nearby, and the hole glows outlined in red with an arrow to it. Supreme lists every leak and draws the way to each in the world. Immortal draws a top-down blueprint of the whole building, one floor at a time on a slider, the leaks in red.

Its window has tabs for the room's gases, the leaks and the blueprint, and a settings tab for what the face shows, its colour (jade, amber, ice or rose) and the alarm's voice (chime, bell, high bit or none).

๐Ÿ›ฐ๏ธ Holo Projectors: your station, alive in jade light

A squat new machine in five grades. Right-click it and it takes the station around it as its baseline, and a small glowing copy of the whole station turns above its lens in the Dharma Body's pale jade light. From then on it is live: a block that goes missing shows as a ghost outline; a block being broken, scarred by a blast, or a Black Tech machine out of power or under strain glows red; anything set down since shines in a colour of its own until you take the baseline again.

Its window sets the box it watches, the three colours, the hologram's size, whether it turns, and what it shows - every block, only Black Tech machines, or only what is missing and damaged. A level slider shows the station one floor at a time, or every floor at once at its far end. The lower grades run on Forge Energy, the upper on stable SE, and a projector lifted whole keeps its baseline. Set projectors of one grade side by side and they fuse into one great surface with one great hologram over it.

โ™พ๏ธ Immortal machines: never destroyed, ever learning

Every Immortal block of Black Tech is now truly immortal. Explosions, the Wither, the dragon, lava, pistons and a stranger's pickaxe all pass it by - only its owner, the friends the owner names, or anyone the owner opens it to can mine it, and it drops whole. Its item never burns, never despawns, and rises back up if it falls into the void.

An Immortal machine earns experience by working - levels without end - and its window gains a shop bag in the corner that opens the Catalog: 144 add-ons in sixteen families, from faster work and wider reach to output slots, bought with the experience it has earned. The dearest of them are teleport points: link Immortal machines and jump between them, across your base, your world, the worlds of space or other dimensions, paying power by the kind of jump and the distance - and a jump checks the far point still stands before anyone moves.

๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Ventilation that truly breathes: ducts, fans and sealed lines

Rooms can breathe through real ducts now! A Vent Duct is a full-size hollow block that joins the ducts beside it the way cables do - and shows it: every face is a wall, a join or an open end. Walk into an open end and you drop down and crawl right through it; a standing run climbs like a ladder.

A line of ducts holds one gas and moves it toward what its open ends open on, faster at higher grades: open to the void it empties, open to a world with air it fills with that air. A Vent Duct leaks; the Sealed Duct is airtight, made for carrying a tank's oxygen from room to room without losing a breath.

  • Vent Segments are the grilles that open a duct into a room - while the line's oxygen stands above the room's, the room breathes it in.
  • Vent Fans in five grades run on Forge Energy and drive air one way, even against the pressure: line to line, into a room, or a room's air out to the void. The Engineer's Wrench turns them round, and two fans set against each other light their warning lamps.
  • Fans are made from four new parts in five grades each: Copper Coils, Electric Motors, Fan Blades and Fan Housings.
  • An Immortal duct or fan is as immortal as every other Immortal block.

๐Ÿงฑ Screens as building blocks - and a disguise for everything

Every screen now also comes as a whole Screen Block in all five grades. It faces you when set - up, down or any side - and Screen Blocks of one kind and grade side by side fuse into one display on a wall, a floor or a ceiling. Any screen can turn see-through: it draws only its picture, and you see the block behind it through the rest.

Sneak and use the Engineer's Wrench in the air to open its window of looks: sixteen paints, or any whole block you carry (nothing is ever used up). Strike a screen or a machine and it wears that look while it keeps working; strike it again, or use the Take off brush, and it shows its own.

The Chameleon Lens sits in a small socket beside the window of any whole screen or machine - while the block has power, it takes on the look of the block behind it and changes when that block changes.

๐Ÿ”ง Changed and rebalanced

โš–๏ธ Worth made sane, and everything into the matter machines

Everything's worth has been worked out again from the ground up, and it is small now: stone, earth, coal and a plank are 10 SE, an iron ingot 20, a diamond 40, and a Star Alloy Ingot about 150 SE instead of hundreds of billions. A worth is never multiplied along a road any more, and every tooltip's SE and atoms agree: ten atoms for every SE. Magical things are worth far more - a spirit stone ten SE for every qi it holds, Dark Matter a million - and nothing passes a hundred million million. With Xiaoxiang Sects & Beasts and Threateningly Mobs installed, their things sit on the same scale: a beast's part is worth the world's nearest thing, and each realm of the beast that dropped it adds a hundred SE of Spirit.

The Matter Decompiler and Compiler now take everything - spirit stones of every grade, their ores, vein cores, Dense Spirit Stone Blocks, and every key and token of the Sects - except Immortal-grade spirit stones, which both refuse and tell you why. A spirit stone decompiled gives back only its Spirit atoms, never SE.

๐Ÿ’Ž Condensers choose their stone

Every Condenser's window has a stone button: a Low Condenser makes Low stones alone, a Mid one Low or Mid, and each grade up reaches one stone higher, never an Immortal one. The Heavenly Condenser makes any stone below the Immortal from its Immortal Spiritual Energy. The choice stays with the machine, even when you carry it away whole.

โ›“๏ธ The coal road climbs on dense coal

The Mid, High, Supreme and Immortal Coal Generators and Sumeru Presses now ask for Dense Coal x2, x3, x5 and x6 at the foot of their recipes, so every step up the coal road starts with a step up the press.

๐ŸชŸ Every window sharper, and wiser

Every figure in every Black Tech window is now drawn crisp, at the font's own size - never squeezed smaller to fit, which blurred it. A figure too long for its room is written short instead - 12.4k, 3.10M, 1.00G - and the cultivation look's own titles and button words are drawn sharp as well. Rest the pointer on any bar - a machine's, the Coal Press's, the Matter Compiler's, the Battlesuit Bay's, a formation's or an Atomic Matter Storage's - and it gives the exact figure over its whole and how fast it is moving: "+400 SE/s" in green, "-1,200 FE/s" in gold, or "Steady". An empty slot shows a pale picture of something it takes and, under the pointer, says what goes there ("Coal, charcoal, a block of coal or any Dense Coal") - read from the slot's own rule, so it never names what the slot would turn away. And every window has been measured against the screen the game gives it at its own GUI size on a 1,080-line monitor: each one fits whole.

๐Ÿฉธ Cores and blood weighed as they deserve

Demon cores climb their own curve now: a first-tier core is worth 1,000 SE and every tier 1.6 times the one below, to 68,720 SE at the tenth; Threateningly Mobs' Frostbite, Guardian and Flame Cores sit on the same curve at their threat. Human blood essence is worth 100, 1,000 or 10,000 SE by its kind - a mortal's, a cultivator's, an immortal's - and grows with the years written on it: half again at a hundred years, three times at a thousand, ten times at ten thousand, and never more. Its tooltip says its years and how far it has climbed. None of them gives SE back when unmade.

๐Ÿ› Fixed

๐Ÿ“บ A full emitter keeps its screens lit

A wall of screens fed by a fully charged emitter - even an Immortal one - flickered between Online and Offline. Three things were at fault: the emitter handed each block an even slice of whatever was left, so a joined wall got a sliver; it fed the very cable that fed it, so its power ran in a circle and it only looked full; and it gave once a second, so a screen that sips every tick went hungry in between. Now every block is asked what it wants and gets its share tick by tick, wires are never fed, and a screen remembers being fed for two seconds, so a single missed beat never reads as Offline. Machines hold their lit face and hum the same way.

๐Ÿค The guest returns: Sects & Beasts plays alongside again

The last version showed Xiaoxiang Sects & Beasts the door, because it asks the cultivation mod three things the line Black Tech runs on no longer has: whether a cultivator is all but immortal (its heart demons ask it every moment, which brought the game down as soon as a world opened), how much a beast grows at each realm, and where a sect's site settles. Black Tech answers all three now, just as the older line did, and only when Sects & Beasts is there to ask - so the door is open again. Threateningly Mobs must come with it; Sects & Beasts will not start without it.

๐Ÿ–ฑ๏ธ Shift-click lands where it should

A stack shift-clicked out of a machine, the Coal Press or the Battlesuit Bay went to the far end of your hotbar first; it now goes to your main inventory first and the hotbar last. A stack shift-clicked in goes to the first slot that takes it - inputs, then fuel, then modules - and never into an output.

๐Ÿšง Being worked on

๐Ÿฆด The rest of the battlesuit (work in progress)

The frame, the power, the legs, the air and the second part's seven modules are in. Still to come: a read-out of the suit on the screen and the team's Spiritual Nexus; Mekanism's oxygen, welcome in the Air Tank; the attack equipment - the flying-sword rack and the fingertip blades; and the suit's primordial parts of Dark Matter.

๐Ÿญ More machines (work in progress)

The machines of the tech mods you already run, remade to run on spiritual energy, keep arriving one family at a time - each with its own face, its own window and its own recipes out of the cultivation world's materials. The transformers between the currents, the Sun Gatherer, the grinder, the generator, the batteries, the Reservoir, the Turbine, the Spirit Vein Engine and now the coal road and its three clean neighbours and the Coal Press are in, and the matter system with them. Still to come: the Immortal Transformer on Immortal Spiritual Energy, the rest of the families, and rockets, spiritual rockets and spiritual boats that cross the void sideways on spiritual energy alone.

โ˜๏ธ More of the heaven tier (work in progress)

The Heavenly Condenser, the Heavenly Teleporter and its Anchor, the Star Forge, the Celestial Array and the Heavens' Grid already wake in the Myriad Realms. Still to come: the Fusion of Elements, a reactor stable only up there, once the elements have gases of their own.

๐ŸŽ›๏ธ Liquid and gas faces set by hand (work in progress)

Each machine already shows its liquid and gas faces in their colours; for now the machine itself still decides them. Setting them from the window and the wrench is on the bench.

โš ๏ธ Known problems

Nothing known. If anything misbehaves, a report with the game's log from that run helps.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Headed off

๐Ÿ™Š Two voices, one answer

Realm Expansion now gives Sects & Beasts the same three answers. Two mods answering one question at once would trip over each other the moment the game starts, so whichever of the two loads first answers and the other stays quiet - one voice, whichever of the mods you run.
