Xenofactions — Changelog

Admin Editor

  • Added a new GUI-driven admin editor for managing maps, kits, spawns, regions, and selections.
  • Added a draggable editor panel showing the current map, selection mode, selected points, and editing state.
  • Added F10 as the default configurable keybind for opening the admin editor.
  • Existing admin commands remain available as fallback controls.

Selection Tools

  • Added a unified Admin Selection Wand for map bounds, safezones, warzones, bombsites, border exemptions, and other region selections.
  • Left-click sets Point A and right-click sets Point B.
  • Active selections now show their type and current points directly in the editor.
  • Area previews update as selections are changed.

Kit Editor

  • Kits can now be viewed and edited through an inventory-based editor.
  • Existing kits can be loaded directly into an admin's inventory, modified normally, and saved back when finished.
  • Added GUI controls for creating, editing, duplicating, saving, cancelling, and managing kits.
  • Kits can now be shared across multiple gamemodes instead of requiring duplicate versions.
  • Kits may optionally be enabled or disabled for specific gamemodes.
  • Buy Score requirements now apply only to Search and Destroy. The same kit can be used normally in other enabled gamemodes without its purchase requirement.

Map Editor

  • Added GUI management for map bounds, spawns, gamemode support, bombsites, and other map settings.
  • Maps can now define an optional enforced Map Border that prevents active players from leaving the playable area.
  • Map boundaries remain separate from faction claims and territories.

Map Visualization

  • Enabled map-boundary visualization for players when a map's border is enabled.
  • Added in-world boundary effects using the same general visual style as faction and safezone borders.
  • Right Alt toggles in-world Xenofactions border effects without hiding map overlays.
  • Map boundaries are shown on the fallback map preview and JourneyMap when applicable.
  • Search and Destroy bombsites are shown to players on the active map.
  • Added persistent map visualization for relevant map regions and markers.
  • Added JourneyMap 6.0.x integration.
  • Added Dynmap layers for supported Xenofactions regions and active map information.

Gamemodes

  • Renamed the player-facing BOMB gamemode to Search and Destroy.
  • Maps can now support multiple gamemodes without requiring duplicate map definitions.
  • Server owners can configure separate vote options for different gamemodes on the same physical map.

For example:

  • Spaceship — FFA

  • Spaceship — TDM

  • Spaceship — Search and Destroy

  • Voting now treats each map/gamemode combination as its own option.

  • Search and Destroy-specific features such as bombsites only appear when that map is actually being played in Search and Destroy.

Gamemode-Specific Spawns

  • Maps can now use separate spawn layouts for each gamemode.
  • FFA can use its own neutral spawn locations.
  • TDM can use dedicated team spawn locations.
  • Search and Destroy can use a completely separate team/role spawn layout.
  • Switching gamemodes on the same map automatically switches to the appropriate spawn set.
  • Spawn positions and facing can be managed directly through the map editor.
