Xaero's Maps: Multiplayer+

🗺️ Overview

This mod extends the multiplayer features of Xaero's World Map and Xaero's Minimap.

🤔 F.A.Q.

The cave layer feature on the World Map doesn't work!

When cave map syncing is enabled (it is by default), the layer feature is disabled on the World Map only. The Minimap is not affected. If you want the World Map layer feature back, you'll have to give up cave syncing: set syncCaves to false in config/xmmp-server.toml.

World map syncing with other players

(Player icons are a built-in feature of Xaero's Minimap! Set everyone_tracks_everyone to true in config/xaero/lib/common.cfg)

Planned

• Server-side map generation (accurate and safe, can generate areas that haven't been loaded yet)
• Connect to an external server (non-Minecraft) and sync your map with it (use cases: you are not hosting the server, but want to sync your map with your friends)
• Waypoint set sync (additions/deletions automatically synced between players)
• Direct waypoint sharing (via in-game chat, or copy-paste for sharing outside Minecraft)
• Server-managed waypoint sets (waypoints controlled by the server)

Suggestions for other features are very welcome!

⚙️ Configuration

Many of this mod's settings can be customized, especially options that affect server load.

You can change them either through the in-game settings screen powered by YACL, or by editing the config file directly.
