Why You Make Lag is a server (and integrated server) performance mod that is based around real-world problems encountered in our day job, required client-side as some problems require more complex solutions.

 

This is not a "fix-all lag for all" mod! This mod will slowly get more and more features as more issues are encountered to improve or fix specific issues.

 

IMPORTANT: Default configs will not "just work" for everyone, you will need to customise these to your server or modpack.

At the moment our basic features are as follows;

 

Pause spawns if too many spawn attempts are failing in a chunk

Slow down spawning if past a specific limit of failed spawns in a chunk

Cap any mob to a specific amount per chunk, with an intuitive configuration format for general end-users and a format an external GUI can be built for by hosting providers (Will expand to provide more per mob controls)

Ability to disable DFU loading

Enable forcing of garbage collection after initial world loading

Customise item despawn time

Rate limit entity pushing

Rate limit item stack merging checks

Merge item stacks into single TE to reduce item ticks on leaking machines

Customise despawn distances

Customise limits per mob category

 

Every option can be turned off or customised completely.
