The Martians are here!
Experience a full-on Martian invasion in Minecraft. Spawn in your world and prepare for an assault from land, sky and water, from an overpowering alien force! Team up with your friends and enemies to defeat the Martians invading your world. Discover new and awesome items with the research system. Craft and build different weapons from different eras of Human and Martian history.
This mod is not for the faint of heart. If you're new, we recommend easy mode. Your base will suffer, you will suffer, and most importantly your favourite Minecraft pets will suffer.
Research!
Research all your favourite blocks and items in Minecraft and new additions brought on by the Martian invasion! Use that research to get some new cool weapons and fight back the invaders.
Survive!
The War Of The Worlds Mod is a survival-first mod it is intended to be played in that mode so that you will be very scared of the Martians blowing you up constantly all the time.
Better living underground!
Ever wanted a reliable way to live underground? Well now there is! This mod adds many new blocks to find underground including a way to collect wood, food and other normally surface exclusive features!. Trust us you're going to want to live underground for a while.
Invaders must die!
This mod is hard, but it's not unbeatable. Use your survival skills to craft powerful weapons and armour to take down the Martians and save the world of Minecraft!
Race against the biological clock!
Growing deep under your world is the Martian Red Weed. It spreads and infects blocks around it causing them to become hazardous to you, It's important you contain the spread and keep your Minecraft world safe from becoming another red planet!

Great mod but I feel like it would be better if the mob AI was improved. Either way it's still good!
Holy binoculars, this has to be one of my favorite WOTW mod of all time! I love the concept of this mod, expanding the gameplay of Minecraft itself. Travelling to Mars, researching weapons and items, just blows my mind! I must say, thank you guys for making WOTW feel more popular in Minecraft.
Really cool mod! Although whenever I shoot something (a mod) with a gun from this mod the game crashes
Hey, I work with the creator of deltas-mod-pack-16 we use this in it and I'm loving it!
I have found one small suggestion if you're open to them, the turrets you put down that you can make are classed as hostile mobs so any friendly mobs/items i have defending try to attack them :( (I have an iron golem patrolling and he wont stop attacking them). Are you able to class them as a friendly mob or will that stop them from defending?
This pack seems criminally underrated for the effort put into it.
Does this mod has achievable ending? Like, is it possible to win the war or it is a perpetual struggle?
In reply to syntheflame:
Currently it is perpetual, however we have plans to later add a ways to maintain and protect land from Martians.
This mod look very cool! Here it is what you should add in the future in my opinion:
1) TANKS
2) More cosmetics
3) Russian stuff ( maybe, i mean... you made a german helmet, why not a russian one? )
4) Fix the weapons ( the moderl are cools, but the animations need more envelopement )
We totally love this mod. I have included it in our pack and we have a video showcasing some of the amazing features. Let us know if we can do anything to increase the visability of your mod. Its so amazing. Thank you

Thank you <3
Is there a ending/way to win the war or is it just keep fighting until they wipe you out? It would be cool for like a server to have a history of fighting the martians and the players living in the aftermath of it. I don't know the limits of 1.15/16 so it might not be possible but wanted to ask.
dose the new robot mobs spawn in the new Mars biome?
In reply to eiadfawzy:
Yes.
Let us disable ores, please. :)
In reply to DcNdrew:
It is possible for us to do this, however we will first have to create a good substitute for getting the resources that are normally via this ore generation.
In reply to rainbowdestiny_mc:
I mean there are so many mods to generate ores. All of the mods are using the same resources. Copper, tin, lead, silver, even oil is a quite ferquent liquid.
I use Geolosys for the ores. The steampunk style of Immersive Engineering isn't quite far from this era either, so IE: Peroleum is okay too.
I just don't want a new type of ores.
In reply to rainbowdestiny_mc:
Seconding this request - a config would make this WAY easier to implement into modpacks
Hello
The mod has a really good mood, and I'd like to use it for the suffering of the players, as any responsible admin would do.
But there are some problems for me, perhaps I don't know about some existing options - but if that isn't the case let me tell you about it, so you might make it better if I'm right:
I don't claim to be an all knowing wise man, it's just a simple feedback for a mod I like.
In reply to Normal69:
Thank you much for the feedback!
1. To your question about weighted spawning and altitudes as well, I will be sure to ask our lead programmer if that can be added to the new configuration menu that is to be released in a coming update.
2. I do not think we have yet looked into Ore Dictionary compatibility, and I will make sure to also see that this is looked into very soon!
3. Unfortunately for the hitboxes, Minecraft is very complicated with their sizes and positions. It is hard to create a hitbox for our mobs given the size of their limbs vs stationary bodies, so it is something we will not be able to fix for a while. Currently the best example of how this can be fixed is through Minecraft's own Ender Dragon, which uses 3 separate hitboxes. However it is a very difficult thing to pull off. Hopefully we will be able to do this some day.
