  • Added the WDL Workbench for in-game administration.
  • Manage Dimension definitions from the GUI.
  • Manage Gate definitions from the GUI.
  • Manage Common settings from the GUI.
  • Create and edit WDL definitions without manually editing TOML files.

  • Dimension definition deletion is not available from the Workbench in this beta.

Gate Management

  • Added GUI-based Gate creation and editing.

  • Physical Dimension/world data is not deleted when removing a Gate definition.

Safety and Stability

  • Improved Config revision and mutation safety.

  • Fixed issues found during earlier 1.4.1 beta testing.
  • Network protocol remains Protocol 11.

Beginner Tutorial Improvements

The included EN/JA Tutorial has been completely rewritten for first-time users.

It now explains two simple setup methods:

Workbench GUI

  1. Copy a Minecraft world into WDL_custom_dimensions.
  2. Register it as a Dimension.
  3. Create a Gate for that Dimension.
  4. Build an obsidian Gate.
  5. Open it with a Basic Dimension Igniter.
  6. Enter the imported Dimension.

Direct Config

  • Includes minimal dimensions.toml and gates.toml examples.
  • Explains the minimum configuration required to load a first Dimension.

Documentation

  • Updated all public English and Japanese documentation for 1.4.1-beta3.
  • Improved beginner readability.
  • Updated GUI Guide, Config Guide, Command Guide, Tutorial, Troubleshooting, Upgrade Guide, examples, and release documentation.
  • Removed outdated GUI Dimension-delete instructions.

Build / Package Improvements

  • Improved the Windows JAR verification launcher.
  • Fixed command parsing problems caused by some project paths.
  • Updated package verification and documentation checks.

Important GUI Support Notice

The in-game GUI was a particularly large and difficult feature to implement for this project.

Because of that, the GUI in this beta is provided on a best-effort basis.

If GUI-specific problems are discovered, they may not be fixed or supported.

The Config-based setup method remains available and is the recommended fallback if the Workbench GUI does not work correctly in a particular environment.

Reports about serious issues such as crashes, data corruption, or problems affecting WDL outside of the GUI are still useful.

Beta Notice

WDL 1.4.1-beta3 has passed build, package verification, startup, Protocol 11, and generated-Config checks.

However, this is still a beta release. Some less common administration and upgrade scenarios may not have received the same level of testing as the stable release.

For important worlds, keep a backup before using the beta.

WDL 1.4.0 remains the current stable release.
