What's new

Back up your world before updating. Saves from 0.6.0 should load, but please test in a copy.

Pit digger

  • Hold string to see your pits. Every pit stake within 24 blocks shows its pit as a white outline, down to the floor through the ground. A ring that is not a pit yet shows its strings, the ones at fault in red: the open end, or the whole ring if it is too big. Green particles show a ring that just became a pit, angry ones where the problem is.
  • The overview tells what is wrong with the ring again. It always showed No pit yet before, whatever the ring was like. The message is wrapped instead of scrolling, and below it you see how big and deep the pit digger may dig (At most 64 blocks, 8 deep). The pit digger's status names the problem too.
  • Size and depth grow with the level: from 64 blocks (8×8) and 8 deep for a novice up to 256 blocks (16×16) and 16 deep for a master. The pit digger does not trade, so for now it stays a novice; levels through work are planned.
  • The ring no longer has to lie within 16 blocks of the stake. It touches the stake anyway.
  • Storeys for deep pits: below 8 blocks the pit digger lays a floor of planks every 4 blocks (the ladder column stays open), carried by pillars of logs every 4 blocks. Give it planks and logs like ladders, or put them into a village chest; it only takes them while its pit gets floors. The overview says what the storeys take.

Workers

  • Workers move their arms at work: they hold their tool in the right hand like players and swing it, smiths hammer, shepherds shear, guards aim the bow with both arms, fishers cast over the shoulder. Villagers that do not work keep their arms crossed.
  • Worn tools go into the output chest of the workstation, so you see that the worker needs a new one. They only go into a village chest if a smith or weaponsmith there repairs them, or if no output chest has room.

Config

  • pitDigger.maxArea and pitDigger.maxDepth are replaced by noviceArea (64), masterArea (256), noviceDepth (8) and masterDepth (16). Old values are ignored; set the new ones if you had changed them.
  • New: pitDigger.keepPlanks (64) and pitDigger.keepLogs (16) for the storeys.
