What's new

Universal Minecraft Support

  • Added one universal Fabric JAR for Minecraft 26.1, 26.2, and 26.3.

  • The matching implementation is selected automatically for the running Minecraft version.

  • Preserved existing item IDs, horn bindings, wolf records, configuration files, and advancements.

  • Adapted wolf entity registry references for compatibility across the supported versions.

Wolf Coat Preservation

  • Fixed resurrected wolves reverting to the default white/pale coat.

  • Wolf records now save the wolf’s coat variant and restore it during resurrection.

  • Added coat changes to snapshot comparisons so changed variants are written to the saved record.

  • Verified saving, reloading, recall, and resurrection with all nine native wolf coat variants.

  • Existing records remain compatible. Loading an existing living bound wolf captures its coat if the old record did not contain one.

  • Old fallen-wolf records without coat information cannot automatically recover the original coat. Wolves already restored with the wrong coat also cannot have their former appearance reconstructed automatically.

Horn Recall and Resurrection Timing

  • Changed wolf arrival to follow the end of the selected vanilla horn sound, replacing the shared seven-second delay.

  • Added individual timing for all eight vanilla horn sounds.

  • Applied the sound-end timing to both living-wolf recall and resurrection.

  • Kept horn, recall, and resurrection cooldowns separate from arrival timing.

  • Added safeguards against duplicate pending calls for the same player and wolf.

  • Prevented scheduling a new call while the horn is on cooldown.

  • Custom instrument sound events fall back to their declared use duration. Replacement audio lengths from client resource packs cannot be detected by the server.

Wolfbound Pearl

  • Added the Wolfbound Pearl as the new resurrection payment item.

  • Added a transparent 32×32 texture depicting an ivory wolf skull holding an Ender Pearl between its fangs.

  • Added the crafting recipe using eight Bones and one Ender Pearl, with the pearl in the bottom-middle slot:

    Bone Bone Bone
    Bone Bone Bone
    Bone Ender Pearl Bone
  • The recipe produces one Wolfbound Pearl.

  • Added the item to the Ingredients creative tab.

  • Added a recipe-book unlock when obtaining an Ender Pearl.

  • Changed the default resurrection cost from one ordinary Bone to one Wolfbound Pearl.

  • Successful resurrection consumes the configured number of pearls.

  • Failed or insufficient-payment attempts do not consume pearls.

  • Recalling a living wolf remains free.

  • Creative players retain their payment exemption.

Configuration and Mod Menu

  • Added an optional Mod Menu settings screen for all seven Wolfsworn settings.

  • Added boolean switches, numeric fields, range validation, Reset, Save, and pagination for smaller windows.

  • Saving through Mod Menu applies changes immediately in singleplayer, without restarting the world or game.

  • Changes made directly to config/wolfsworn.properties reload when the singleplayer world is reopened.

  • Dedicated servers reload file changes on server startup and still require a restart after editing the file.

  • Multiplayer rules remain controlled by the server; the client settings screen is disabled while connected to a remote server.

  • Migrated the old bone-payment settings automatically:

    • resurrectionRequiresBone → resurrectionRequiresPearl

    • resurrectionBoneCost → resurrectionPearlCost

  • Existing configured payment values carry over as counts of Wolfbound Pearls.
