Wither Storm @w Selector Backport

Backports the @w entity selector from newer versions of Cracker's Wither Storm Mod to older Minecraft versions.

Use @w in commands to automatically target the nearest Wither Storm!

Description

Newer versions of Cracker's Wither Storm Mod include the incredibly useful @w entity selector, which lets commands specifically target the nearest Wither Storm.

Unfortunately, several older versions of the mod don't have it.

Wither Storm @w Selector Backport adds that functionality to older versions so you can use @w in commands just like you can in the newer versions.

Instead of trying to find the Wither Storm's UUID, using complicated selectors, or manually targeting it, simply use:

@w

The selector targets the nearest Wither Storm.

Examples

Kill the nearest Wither Storm:

/kill @w

Teleport the nearest Wither Storm:

/tp @w ~ ~10 ~

Give the nearest Wither Storm an effect:

/effect give @w minecraft:glowing 10

This is especially useful for command blocks, custom maps, testing, datapacks, and anyone experimenting with Cracker's Wither Storm Mod.

FAQ

What does @w do?

@w selects the nearest Wither Storm.

For example:

/kill @w

targets the nearest Wither Storm instead of requiring you to manually find or select it.

Why did you make this?

Because newer versions of Cracker's Wither Storm Mod have @w, and after using it, going back to an older version without it is surprisingly annoying.

Now the older versions can have it too.

Does this add the Wither Storm?

No. You still need Cracker's Wither Storm Mod.

This mod only adds/backports the @w selector functionality.

Can I use this in command blocks?

Yes! That's one of the main reasons this mod is useful.

Does it target every Wither Storm?

No. @w targets the nearest Wither Storm.

Is this an official Cracker's Wither Storm Mod addon?

No. This is an unofficial addon/backport made to bring the newer @w functionality to older versions.

Will you add this to versions that already have @w?

No.

That would be a mod whose entire purpose is adding something that's already there.

Fabric or NeoForge?

No. These releases are made for Forge and are intended specifically for the corresponding Forge versions of Cracker's Wither Storm Mod.
