 About the Mod

Windows Complete is a technology, operating-system, and nostalgia-themed Minecraft mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge.

The mod brings Windows-inspired content, computer hardware, Linux, Apple, iPhone devices, Frutiger Aero aesthetics, storage devices, custom equipment, structures, entities, music, sounds, achievements, and interactive GUIs into Minecraft.

Windows Complete is designed to feel like a mixture of Minecraft + Windows nostalgia + computer technology + Frutiger Aero + memes.

 World Generation

 Operating System Biome

Windows Complete adds a custom biome called the Operating System Biome.

The biome has a Frutiger Aero-inspired atmosphere with:

•  System Trees

•  System Leaves

•  System Grass

•  Windows-themed structures

•  System Ore

The biome is designed to feel colorful, clean, nostalgic, and slightly surreal.

 System Ore

System Ore is one of the main resources in Windows Complete.

It generates naturally underground throughout the Overworld.

System Ore can generate inside:

•  Stone

•  Deepslate

It is not restricted to the Operating System Biome.

 Vein Size

System Ore generates in small veins.

A vein can contain:

• 1 System Ore

• 2 System Ore

• 3 System Ore

The maximum vein size is 3 blocks.

System Ore can therefore be discovered:

• in caves

• underground

• inside Stone

• inside Deepslate

• while mining

• while exploring normal Overworld terrain

System Ore is used as part of the progression toward System equipment and technology.

The USB Stick is a portable storage device.

It can be used with compatible computer systems.

The USB Stick requires:

• 2 Black Terracotta

 Hard Drive

The Hard Drive is a larger storage device.

Crafting Recipe

The Hard Drive is crafted with:

• 8 Iron Ingots

• 1 Redstone

The Redstone is placed in the center.

 Hard Drive GUI

Right-clicking the Hard Drive opens its storage GUI.

The GUI contains an inventory where the player can:

• ➕ place items inside

•  store items

•  remove items later

•  keep items inside the Hard Drive

The Hard Drive therefore works as a portable storage device.

 Hard Drive Achievement

Opening the Hard Drive can trigger a dedicated achievement.

When eaten, it can restore health through the mod's regeneration mechanic.

It is also connected to Windows Complete achievements.
