🦌 About Wild Creatures

Wild Creatures is a Fabric mod that expands Minecraft with a wide variety of new land, water, forest and ambient creatures. From peaceful wildlife like deer, ducks, raccoons and otters to dangerous predators like sharks, crocodiles, orcas and panthers, this mod makes your world feel more alive, more dangerous and more rewarding to explore.

Each creature is designed to fit naturally into Minecraft while adding more atmosphere, survival value and exploration variety.

🦈 Shark - a dangerous ocean predator.
🐋 Orca - a powerful ocean creature found in ocean biomes.
🦀 Crab - a small beach creature that can move on land and underwater.
🪼 Jellyfish - an aquatic creature found in water areas.
🐚 Mussel - a passive water creature found near the seabed.
🦌 Deer - peaceful wildlife for forests and plains.
🐗 Wild Boar - a strong animal with useful loot.
🐻 Bear - a powerful forest creature.

🌸 Optional Season System Support

When Season System is installed, Wild Creatures adds seasonal behavior for butterflies.

🦋 Butterflies spawn during Spring and Summer.
🌿 They can appear across land areas while the season is active.
❄️ They do not naturally appear during colder seasons.

Important: Season System is optional / recommended and is not required to run Wild Creatures.

If Season System is not installed, butterflies can still spawn as a fallback in peaceful flower-like land biomes such as Plains, Sunflower Plains, Meadows and Flower Forests.

Wild Creatures includes optional compatibility for Loyal Companions. When Loyal Companions is installed, selected peaceful creatures can be used as companions.

Dangerous or unsuitable creatures are blacklisted from companion capture.

Important: Loyal Companions is optional / recommended and is not required. Wild Creatures will still start and work normally without it.

Wild Creatures includes optional support for Xaero's Minimap and Xaero's World Map. When installed, supported creatures can use custom map/minimap icons.

Wild Creatures includes a configuration system for spawn balancing and creature behavior. This makes the mod suitable for both singleplayer worlds and larger modded servers.
