Description
Who Needs Flint? allows you to craft items that normally require flint, and the new recipes that this mod adds essentially gets rid of the need to use flint so you don't have to bother digging through gravel over and over in hopes of finding some.
- Introducing the Redstone Lighter! It works just like a Flint and Steel.
- Iron Arrows! Now you can craft arrows using iron ingots instead of flint (because this wasn't already in Vanilla for some reason...).
- Make Fletching Tables with arrows! This might seem like a waste of a couple of good arrows, but hey, beats constantly digging through gravel. Am I right?
- Aaaaaand that's it... Not sure what else you would expect from a mod involving flint alternatives.
Credits
- Thank you Pylo for creating MCreator which is what made this mod possible.
- Thank you Levaneron! My friend who got annoyed with digging for flint as well as the fact that Vanilla doesn't use iron ingots for its arrows which is what gave me the idea for this mod.
Modpack Permission
My mods are always welcome to be used for your modpacks, so don't be afraid to use them. :)
Mod Fork/Port Permission
I am okay with it as long as you give credit to me for making the original mod. I especially encourage it for backporting to much older versions of Minecraft if possible (ex. 1.7.10).
Will this mod be available for other versions? (ex. 1.19.2, 1.16.5, Fabric, etc.)
If you request it in the comments, I might look into adding your requested versions. Keep in mind, I am still pretty new to modding, so don't get your hopes too high. However, I will try to do what I can about it.
I ONLY POST MY MODS ON CURSEFORGE!!!
Any other mod sources (ex. 9minecraft, Modrinth) that have my mods posted on them have done so without my consent. I highly discourage installing my mods on any platform other than CurseForge.
I hope you enjoy this simple mod I made using MCreator. This is my first mod that I made for practice which is why it's so simple. Since I'm starting to understand how to set things up, I am planning on making more complex mods in the future. Hope you look forward to it!
