SCP-001: When Day Breaks is an apocalyptic survival horror mod for Fabric (Minecraft 1.21.3). Inspired by S. D. Locke's famous SCP Foundation proposal, this mod transforms your normal Minecraft world into a harrowing fight for survival where even the light itself wants to consume you.

The Progression & Story

The Trigger

Your world behaves normally—at first. Deep within rare, ruined SCP Research Structures, lies an ancient artifact known as the Flesh Clock. Interacting with this artifact triggers the apocalyptic countdown.

Day 8: The Sky Breaks

Without a word or chat warning, the sky shifts. The atmosphere turns a sickly red-orange, and the sun fractures into an unstable cosmic eye. The world knows something is wrong.

Day 11: Daylight Breaks

The apocalypse arrives. Direct exposure to sunlight is instantly lethal. Players, animals, and mobs exposed to the light melt down into grotesque, gelatinous Amalgamations. You are forced underground to survive.

Day 15: Nether Succumbs

Think you can hide in the underworld? The corruption bleeds through dimensions. Nether lava converts into pulsing, fleshy fluids, making even the underworld uninhabitable without specialized gear.

• Dynamic Amalgamation Mobs: Melted entities merge together, mimicking voices and stalking you in dark caverns.

Epic Final Boss Encounter: The Sun Core

To restore the sky, you must confront the source of the anomaly in a massive flesh crater arena.

• Phase 1 (The Hivemind): Battle a towering amalgamation as it summons minion hordes, shoots ground flesh spikes, and drags you toward its core.

• Phase 2 (Solar Ascension): At 50% HP, the entity links directly with the sun itself, blasting extreme heat rays across the arena and forcing you into cover-to-cover combat.

• The Cure: Assemble and deploy a high-tech nuclear containment device to shatter the link. Victory triggers an epic cinematic, healing the atmosphere and restoring the blue skies!
