Most companion mods give you a helper. Whelp gives you something that needs you.

A Whelp is an AI companion that's helpless on its own: it explores, reacts, and tries to survive a world that wants it dead — and it depends on you to make it.

And it has one life. If your Whelp dies, it's gone for good.

What you'll be watching

A clean, toggleable HUD keeps you on top of your Whelp at a glance:

Health — how close it is to death
Hunger — feed it before it starves
Age — climbs the longer it survives; how old can yours get?
Current action — exactly what it's doing right now (following, eating, fleeing, hurt…)

How it behaves

Your Whelp thinks for itself. Driven by VoxelMind's AI, it decides what to do moment to moment — wandering, exploring, grabbing food when it can, fleeing when it's scared. You don't pilot it. You look after it.

Looking after your Whelp

Feed it to keep its hunger up (and its health recovering)
Keep it out of danger, or call it back to safety when things get rough
Name it, and watch its age climb run after run
One life, true permadeath

Think of it as a tamagotchi-style AI companion dropped into a world that wants it dead: a companion you raise, feed, and try to keep alive for as long as you possibly can.
