WGACA — What goes around comes around
1.0.0 Release · Minecraft 1.21.1 / NeoForge
Every kill makes you stronger—and changes the world around you. Distorted wildlife, crying villagers, impossible structures and an aerial deity turn growing power into dread.
Installation
- Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.1 only.
- NeoForge 21.1.249 or newer in the 21.1 series, Java 21.
- Put the WGACA JAR in your instance’s mods folder. Remove older WGACA JARs first; keep other mods.
- Multiplayer requires the same WGACA version on the server and every client.
- No separate animation library is required. Fabric, Forge and Minecraft 26.2 are not supported by this download.
Before playing
Back up an existing world or start a new test world. Boss terrain destruction and generated structures can permanently change the world. Disable boss destruction through mobGriefing=false or [boss] terrainDestruction=false in wgaca-horror-server.toml.
Includes loud layered screams, unsettling imagery, distorted animals, flashing effects and screen motion. Use comfortable sound levels.
Play in Survival or Adventure on a non-Peaceful difficulty. Creative kills do not increase karma by default. A small top-left HUD shows current karma; gameplay deliberately avoids explanatory announcements and boss names.
Included in 1.0.0
- Six-stage karma progression, powerful late-stage bonuses, and once-only discovery rewards (up to 210 karma).
- Natural events share breathing space. Boss volleys have clearer sequential warnings, a twelve-member retinue cap, and an eight-second recovery with a five-second counterattack window.
- Victorious players no longer trigger automatic repeat boss encounters.
- Distortion support for 40 vanilla animal entity types, with 80 individual animal sound cues.
- Corrupted villagers, golems, structures and a changing environment.
- One world-wide boss encounter: sky-rift entrance, mass lightning, crushing arms, branching ground wounds with eyes and teeth, and summon chains.
- Nonverbal vocal sound design using original synthesis: layered screams, choral rift sounds and irregular laughter.
- Full bonus-health recovery on death respawn and stage promotion; nearby eligible-target relocation for an abandoned boss encounter.
Release scope
1.0.0 packages the current playable journey and boss encounter; it does not mean every planned feature is complete. Final art, sound review, balance and compatibility checks remain. Animal models use vanilla rigs and textures with deformation; mod-added animals are not automatically covered. Ground-mouth visuals do not add forced swallowing or instant kills.
This project was developed with substantial AI assistance for implementation and publishing. Its project icon is AI-generated.
