# Wayfarer's Journey

An anime-style action-adventure mod for **Minecraft 1.21.1 (Fabric)**. You are a traveler who stumbles into a fallen kingdom and inherits the compass of its last hero. Pick a vocation, climb its weapon tree, tame and ride strange beasts, and hunt the ten weird mini-bosses that guard the gear of each tier.

> **Beta:** this release holds all of Chapter 1 (the Rot Knight + 10 mini-bosses). The chapter dragon and the golden shield knight come in the next update.

## Features

**Four vocations, one weapon tree each**
- Assassin, Support, Farmer and Mage, from Tier 1 up to Tier 7.
- Every weapon has a combo with a real wind-up and four skills on **Z X C V**, with hit-stop, camera shake and hand-drawn anime effects.
- From Tier 4 up, weapons are forged from the drops of each mini-boss: clockwork saws, a minute-hand rapier, a living sketchbook, a crown chakram and more.

**The Rot Knight and ten weird mini-bosses**
- Tin Soldier, Cuckoo Clock, Flat Painter, Hollow Crown, Lonely Giant Child, Land Whale, the Witch's Black Cat, the Cartographer, the Time Eater and the Puppeteer.
- Each lives in its own lair (an abandoned art gallery, a dry sea basin with a lighthouse, a ruined theatre...), with a cinematic intro, readable attack tells, its own health bar and its own way to win.
- The quest tab and boss markers point you to the next lair.

**Mounts you earn**
- Shadow wolf, snow leopard, fire wyvern, war horse, thunder deer and T-Rex.
- After the first boss, five fantasy mounts appear in the world: nine-tailed fox, nightmare horse, giant iron beetle, giant frog and a flying sky manta. Fight one until it surrenders, then ride it.
- Every mount has its own Z X C V skills and an armor set made from its drops.

**Armor sets with real set bonuses**
- Toy soldier (rewind escape), cuckoo clock (time stop), traveling painter (paint clone helper), royal regent (possess an enemy), samurai fox, shadow cavalry and more.

**A living world**
- After the first boss the world blooms: big trees, flowers and ancient giant trees everywhere.
- Camps, merchant wagons and villages with villagers, meteor showers, a traveling caravan, a collection book and mini statues of every boss you beat.
- Cute animals: ducks, fireflies, hedgehogs and squirrels you can pet and feed.

**Co-op friendly**
- Fall to the ground instead of dying when friends are near, and get revived.
- A friend can ride on the back seat of your mount and fight.
- Boss health and loot scale with the party.

**Comfort**
- Keep your items and XP on death (your souls stay where you fell).
- Vein mining with a pickaxe (sneak to mine one block), sprinting costs no stamina.
- Lock-on, dodge roll, stamina and mana, a guide book for every system, and a "reduce flashes" option.
- Made to be played with an over-the-shoulder camera (Shoulder Surfing Reloaded).
