1. Definitions

"Software" means the Waydot project, including its source code, assets, documentation, configuration files, and compiled forms.

"Modified Version" means any work based on, derived from, or containing a modified part of the Software.

"Compiled Version" means any executable or object-code form of the Software or a Modified Version, including a Minecraft mod JAR.

"Public Distribution" means making a copy available to the public or to an indefinite group of people. This includes uploads, mirrors, public download links, public modpacks, launchers, repositories of compiled files, file-sharing services, marketplaces, websites, forums, and public or open social channels.

"Private Group" means a closed, non-commercial group of no more than 20 natural persons whom the person sharing the Software personally knows, such as friends or family. A group is not private if anyone can join it or obtain its files without a personal invitation.

2. Permission to Use

You may download and use the Software free of charge for any lawful purpose, including personal play, public or private servers, screenshots, videos, and streams, provided that the use does not involve distributing a copy of the Software except as expressly allowed below.

3. Permission to View, Modify, and Compile

You may view, study, copy, and modify the source form of the Software. You may compile the Software or a Modified Version for your own permitted use.

You may publicly fork or share the source form of the Software or a Modified Version only if you:

a. include this license and the original copyright notice;
b. clearly state that your copy is unofficial and identify your changes;
c. do not include or link to a Compiled Version; and
d. do not claim endorsement by or authorship from ARCns09.

4. Limited Private Sharing

You may share an official or Modified Compiled Version only within a Private Group. The sharing must be free of charge, must not use a public or reusable download link, and every recipient must receive a copy of this license and obey its terms.

5. No Public Distribution of Compiled Versions

You may not publicly distribute, publish, upload, mirror, sublicense, sell, rent, or otherwise make available any Compiled Version without prior written permission from ARCns09.

This prohibition applies to both official and Modified Versions and to every public distribution platform, including but not limited to Modrinth, CurseForge, Planet Minecraft, GitHub Releases, GitLab Releases, public modpacks, third-party launchers, community download pages, and other current or future platforms.

Linking to a download location officially authorized by ARCns09 is allowed, provided that you do not mirror or repackage the file.

6. No Sale or Paid Access

You may not charge money, require a subscription, place the Software behind a paywall, or otherwise sell access to any copy of the Software or a Modified Version. This restriction does not prohibit ordinary gameplay videos, streams, or screenshots that merely show the Software being used.

7. Name and Branding

This license does not grant permission to use the Waydot name, logo, or other project branding to suggest that a Modified Version is official or endorsed. Descriptive references to Waydot and preservation of attribution are allowed.

8. Third-Party Material

Third-party components, libraries, and other material included with or used by the Software remain subject to their own licenses. This license applies only to material for which ARCns09 has the authority to grant these permissions.

9. Additional Permission

ARCns09 may grant additional permissions in writing. A permission applies only to the person, version, and distribution method expressly identified in it.

10. Termination

Your rights under this license terminate automatically if you violate its terms. If the violation is fully corrected within 14 days after you become aware of it, your rights are reinstated provisionally unless ARCns09 provides written notice that they remain terminated.

11. Disclaimer of Warranty and Limitation of Liability

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ARCNS09 AND CONTRIBUTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE SOFTWARE OR ITS USE.
