Overview of the Custom Skill Tree System

Framework Architecture: Primary nodes operate on the challenge framework, secondary nodes utilize the goal framework, and filler nodes are built on the task framework.

1. Mage 

  • Primary Nodes (9 Total): Focuses heavily on raw spellcasting potential through max mana expansion and magic resistance, balanced with penalties to physical health, armor, and melee resistance.

  • Secondary Nodes (9 Total in 3 Groups): Enhances spell efficiency, mana restoration, magic damage output, healing potency, and experience gains.

  • Filler Nodes (34 Total): Small, randomized incremental boosts to max mana, magic damage, and mana regeneration.

2. Defense Specialist  tnak

  • Primary Nodes (9 Total): Specializes in mitigating physical incoming damage (melee and ranged resistance) and maximizing armor toughness, with minor trade-offs to movement and attack speeds.

  • Secondary Nodes (9 Total in 3 Groups): Provides utility buffs including fortune, trident damage, stamina preservation, eating speed, knockback power, and mount speed.

  • Filler Nodes (34 Total): Small incremental upgrades to experience gain, healing bonuses, and knockback capacity.

3. Striker 

  • Primary Nodes (9 Total): Empowers physical weaponry (swords, axes, and ranged bows/crossbows) with heavy damage boosts balanced by reductions in armor, attack speed, or max health.

  • Secondary Nodes (9 Total in 3 Groups): Features offensive armor/resistance shredding, mining speed upgrades, projectile velocity, anvil repair discounts, and hybrid spell-blade enhancements.

  • Filler Nodes (34 Total): Incremental enhancements to attack speed, mining speed, and stealth attributes.

4. Survivalist 

  • Primary Nodes (9 Total): Builds a robust foundation of high maximum health, heavy armor scaling, and healing amplification, trading away mana pools and magic resistance.

  • Secondary Nodes (9 Total in 3 Groups): Emphasizes survivability traits such as damage reflection, fall damage reduction, sprinting speed, stamina efficiency, and stealth.

  • Filler Nodes (34 Total): Consistent baseline increments to maximum health, armor value, and melee damage.

    Mage phase

    • Starting Node (Sovereign of YELLOW’s grace): Grants +20% Spell Cooldown, +30% Mana Regeneration, +300 Max Mana, and +20% Casting Time Reduction; at the cost of -10% Max Health and -20% Melee Damage Resistance.

    • Elemental Opposition Branches: Players must choose one of four elemental oppositions, with each branch granting +20% to the corresponding spell power and -20% to the mutually exclusive spell power:

      • Fire & Ice Opposition: Lord of Orange (+20% Fire / -20% Ice) and Lord of Blue (-20% Fire / +20% Ice).

      • Ender & Nature Opposition: Lord of Purple (+20% Ender / -20% Nature) and Lord of Green (-20% Ender / +20% Nature).

      • Holy & Evocation Opposition: Lord of White (+20% Holy / -20% Evocation) and Lord of Grey (-20% Holy / +20% Evocation).

      • Lightning & Blood Opposition: Lord of Indigo (+20% Lightning / -20% Blood) and Lord of Red (+20% Blood / -20% Lightning).

    • Ultimate Node (The YELLOW thing): Grants +189.5% Eldritch Spell Power, +100% Armor and Magic Resistance Penetration, +68% Ranged Damage Reduction, +22 Armor, +664 Max Mana, and +10% Lifesteal; at the cost of a comprehensive -78% reduction to all eight basic spell powers, -65% Max Health, and -22% Melee Damage Reduction.

    Survivalist phase

    • Starting Node (Sovereign of SLUMBERING’s grace): Increases Max Health by +25%, Melee Damage by +35%, Reflected Damage by +50%, Stamina by +8, Sprint and Movement Speed by +20%, Underwater Movement Efficiency by +1, and Extra Oxygen by +2; at the cost of -11% Spell Power and a -50% reduction in Mana Regeneration.

    • Oaths of Dagon Branches:

      • Oaths of Dagon I: +40% Max Health, +30% Reflected Damage, but -6 to both Armor and Armor Toughness.

      • Oaths of Dagon II: +20% Melee Damage, +20% Armor Penetration, +20% Armor Toughness Penetration, but -36% Spell Power.

      • Oaths of Dagon III: +60% Healing Received, but -26% Spell Power, -15% Holy Spell Power, and -15% Blood Spell Power.

    Tank phase

    • Starting Node (Primeval Stars’s grace): Grants +15% Damage Resistance, +3.0 Knockback Resistance, +25% XP Gain, +25% Eating and Consuming Speed, and +1.0 Luck.

    • Specialization Branch Nodes:

      • Before the circadian: Substantially increases Trident damage by +157%.

      • Pocoloco: Increases Luck by +3.0 and Riding Speed by +0.25.

      • Gravitational anchor: Increases Mace damage by +20% and provides up to 80% Fall Damage Reduction.

    Striker phase

    • Starting Node (Become Lord of Overtor): Grants +20% Armor Penetration, +20% Armor Toughness Penetration, +20% Digging Speed, and a -30% reduction in Anvil Repair Cost.

    • Weapon Specialization Branches:

      • Destined Blade: +50% Sword Damage, along with an additional +25% to both Armor Penetration and Armor Toughness Penetration.

      • Shattering the primal night: +50% Axe Damage, alongside +25% to both Armor Penetration and Armor Toughness Penetration.

      • Artemis’s ballistics: +100% Ranged Damage, +20% Ranged Resistance Penetration, and increases Bow and Crossbow projectile velocity/speed by +0.2 each.

    Value Balance Adjustments

    • Mage Core Skill (mage_major_mana): The Max Health penalty value has been adjusted from the old version's -10 to the new version's -6.

    • Tank Core Skill (tank_major_melee_res): Removed the -0.05 movement speed penalty included in the old version.

    • Tank Advanced Target (tank_secondary_g3_3): The Armor and Armor Toughness bonuses have been significantly increased from the old version's 0.05 to the new version's 6.

    • Tank Filler Skill (tank_filler_knockback): The knockback stat bonus has been increased from the old version's 0.15 to the new version's 0.3.

    • Survivalist Core Skill (survivalist_major_health): Removed the -0.30 spell power penalty from the old version.
