Description
Wavelength (Signal & Sense)
One clue. A hundred ways to read it.
Gather around a craftable tabletop game and find out how well your friends think alike. One player sees a secret target between two ideas—Cheap and Expensive, Safe and Dangerous, Early Game and Late Game—and gives a clue. Their teammates position the needle, lock their guess, and watch the shutter reveal how close they came.
Signal & Sense brings a spectrum-guessing party game into your Minecraft world with an original walnut-and-brass board, a moving needle, private clue-giver screens, and a shared scoreboard.
At the table
- 2–16 players, split between two labeled teams.
- 50 spectra, with everyday topics and Minecraft-specific prompts. Datapacks can add more.
- Private targets: only the clue giver receives the target before reveal; guessing players and observers receive public game information.
- A physical game board: original stepped geometry, raised controls, brass trim, a sliding shutter, and smooth needle motion.
- Precise controls: drag the dial, use the arrow keys or mouse wheel, or Shift-right-click the physical board to nudge its needle.
- Complete games: rotating clue givers, alternating turns, scoring, victory, and Play Again.
- Choose your goal: first to 5, 10, 15, or 20 points.
- Persistent sessions: saved rounds, scores, and teams, with host transfer and recovery when players leave.
- Independent boards: place several games in the same world.
- Built-in help, sound feedback, and small celebratory effects.
Start playing
Craft the board using one glass block, two copper ingots, one redstone dust, and three planks:

Glass
Copper Redstone Copper
Planks Planks Planks
Place it, right-click, and choose Join the game. The first seated player becomes the host. With a player on each team, the host can start. The clue giver types a clue, the guessing team sets the needle, and Lock in guess reveals the target. Score 4 at the center, 3 in the middle band, 2 in the outer band, or 0 for a miss.
With one player on each team, the other player guesses your clue and points go to your team. With larger teams, your teammates make the guess. Operators playing alone can use the clearly labeled Solo practice option.
New in 1.1.0: Wavelength Table
The Wavelength Table is a second, separate craftable block and item. The original board, its GUI, item, and recipe remain available. The table plays entirely in the Minecraft world: its walnut-and-brass dial, shutter, needle, labels, team badges, scores, and front buttons are visible on the block. Interacting with this table never opens a custom GUI.
Craft the Wavelength Table using two copper ingots, one glass block, four dark oak planks, one redstone dust, and one gold ingot:

Copper Ingot Glass Copper Ingot
Dark Oak Planks Redstone Dust Dark Oak Planks
Dark Oak Planks Gold Ingot Dark Oak Planks
Right-click a team badge to join; click your badge again to leave. The first seated player is host and chooses a goal of 5, 10, 15, or 20 points before starting. During the clue phase, only the clue giver sees the target on their dial. Give a clue aloud or in ordinary chat, then press Clue Ready. Eligible guessers press Left or Right to move the needle by 2.5 percentage points, or sneak-right-click for a 0.5-point nudge. Press Lock twice within three seconds to reveal the target and score 4, 3, 2, or 0 points. The host presses Next Round or Play Again at the end of a game.
The table supports two-player and larger-team games, independent sessions for multiple tables, saved games, and recovery when players disconnect. Private targets are sent only to the authorized clue giver and cleared when access ends.
Install Signal & Sense and Fabric API on every client and the server. This release is for Fabric; it does not run in a Forge or NeoForge profile.
