Description:
Water Strainer adds the possibility to filter water for common resources.
A strainer catches general items (such as Sand, Gravel, Sticks, Clay, ...) while it's inside water.
They are breakable, but can be build out of different materials to increase their durability.
The idea is to get some common resources while you're busy with something else.
Water height/flow and biome type will influence the efficiency.
Durability, idle time, loot tables and more are customizable.
Water Strainer can also be used for skyblock maps.
How to start:
(1) Craft a strainer base.
(2) Craft any type of strainer.
(3) Place the strainer base inside a pool of water (the base needs water on top).
(4) Put your strainer into the base
The strainer will now filter the water for items. The list of items depends on the strainer type.
Items can be inserted and extracted from the bottom part of the Strainer Base.
Make sure to read about the Efficiency System in the MinecraftForum thread.
Compatibility:
The mod supports Just Enough Items (JEI).
Modpack Policy:
You're allowed to put the mod into any modpack. You are not allowed to sell the mod or contents of the mod (like items).
can I add more objects in the waterstrained_loottables file for it to collect or does the mod get damaged?
In reply to h2drogui:
You can add more.
Will this mod be updated over to 1.17 or any future updates?
I will start working on the 1.17 port when forge is available for 1.17.
What use is there for the fertilizer you get out of the worm bin? I can't find a use for it within the pack (none of the strainers require it for crafting) and it doesn't seem to do anything to crops or farmland, so it just takes up a ton of inventory space. Not sure if I'm missing something but I've checked all the comments here and can't find anything.
In reply to 7larson:
It has the same function as Bone Meal from vanilla minecraft. So it should be useable on saplings, crops or grass blocks to grow grass and flowers.
if you would consider adding support for betweenlands, that would be a ton of fun!
Really adore this mod, and would love to see its compatibility with some biome/world mods :D
Any plans to a Fabric fork?

No
Hey! I see you've updated to 1.16.3! I wonder if it's possible to get a 1.16.2 version?
In reply to LeoTheTiny:
Are your other mods not updated to 1.16.3 yet or is there another problem?
In reply to Ruuubi:
Ha! I thought my essentials were stuck in 1.16.2, but I went through them here on this website and found out most of them were updated. So I went ahead and upgraded.
Thanks for the quick reply, tho!
can possible add config for add different drop from strainer from different liquid strained ?
In reply to AlleCraft:
+1 this
I can see getting drops from lava from the nether. You would need the strainer that is reinforced with obsidian and diamond or else it will burn up and the water strainer could be made from something fire resistant like the wood from the nether.
Hello, I love your mod, it is easier to survive like this xd, but I was wondering if I would update the mod to minecraft 1.16.1
In reply to blackstorm123_:
Hopefully soon. They were looking into it a couple weeks ago. Not sure how much work is needed to port from 1.15 to 1.16, though.
Love this mod, also if the strainers themselves can be enchanted that'd be great. Imagine an Unbreaking 3 survivalist's strainer.
In reply to Drakonas_Last_Dovahkiin:
Thank you. At the moment you're able to enchant the reinforced strainers, nothing else.
In reply to Ruuubi:
Thanks for the relatively quick response. If this changes, let us know. I can at least force it with an anvil for now, though it doesn't really have an effect.
Anyway to reduce durability of the shovel?
