The Warp Mod

Introduction

This mod was originally called "Warp for Single Player", but with the implementation of support for SSP/SMP/LAN, it is no longer for single player only. So it has been renamed to "The Warp Mod".

Have you ever played Minecraft on a bukkit server that allowd you to warp (teleport) to saved locations? Ever wanted this for Forge under SSP/SMP/LAN? Well now you can!

This mod allows you to move around the minecraft world with relative ease, but don't go crazy. Do you think that moving that fast wouldn't hurt? Think again. Use the warp commands wisely!

Current Features

• Create private/public/shared warps
• Warp with the animal you are currently riding
• Warp to Deathpoint.
  • A resistance potion is applied for a few seconds depending on your type of death

Cost Per Warp (CPW)

When I created this Mod originally, I did not want it to be considered a cheat, so I came up with a solution starting in version 1.0.1, that would punish you for using the warp command. I call this system Cost Per Warp (CPW).

Currently the system afflicts damage to the player's life (hearts) based on the game play difficulty. (Below is future considerations of how to improve on this).

• Peaceful / Easy = .25 heart
• Normal = .5 heart
• Hard = 1 heart

Note: In the upcoming version, the system will be updated to place a harsh penalty when warping between dimensions.

1. Download the file
2. Copy the zip file to the mods folder.
3. Enjoy the power of warp!

Commands

This Mod introduces 3 simple commands to Single Player Mode

1. Warp
2. SetWarp
3. DelWarp

To Do

1. Allow the 'delwarp' command to delete multiple warps
2. Add some 'Admin' commands
   1. Remove "deleted world" warps
3. Add color coding to the 'List' command to identify private/public/shared warps

Future Considerations

• Cost Per Warp (CPW)
  • Using armor increases damage
  • XP has an effect
    • Low XP could result in failed warp attempt.
    • Low XP could result in nearby mobs being warped with you.
• Reduce CPW
  • A unique item or items that affect the suggested CPW above
  • Potions
