War 'n Nobility - Changelog
1.0.9 (Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge)
The atlas-and-titles fix. This is the first public build since 1.0.7, so it folds in the 1.0.8 mapping work as well: the map now targets Antique Atlas 8, and a promotion updates your title everywhere at once.
-- FIXED: the atlas map was blank on servers -----------------------------
The map overlay was built for Antique Atlas 4 (modid "antique_atlas"), but the pack ships Antique Atlas 8 (modid "antiqueatlas", hunternif's native NeoForge port). They are DIFFERENT mods with different classes, so the overlay reached for an atlas that was not installed, failed soft, and left a blank parchment with no county/duchy/kingdom borders. The integration now targets Antique Atlas 8, the atlas the pack actually ships, so the domain map draws again.
IMPORTANT: if you use the map features you must be on Antique Atlas 8. Antique Atlas is optional and client-side; without it the nobility ladder, seals, vassalage and the domain system all run exactly as before.
-- FIXED: your title did not update when you were promoted ----------------
Ascending a rank announced "<name> ascends to <rank>!" in chat, but your name tag kept the old "[rank]" prefix. NeoForge caches a player's decorated display name, so the above-head name tag -- and any chat mod that renders "<name> message" from that cached name instead of routing through our own chat handler -- kept showing your former rank until you relogged. On a rank change we now clear that cached name at once, so the prefix refreshes everywhere (name tag, tab list and chat) the moment you are promoted.
-- The map (from 1.0.8) --------------------------------------------------
- Real per-block terrain, shaded like a vanilla map and graded onto the parchment, drawn inside Antique Atlas's own fog of war. It replaces the one-icon-per-biome tiles rather than layering over them, so tree and hill icons no longer ghost through the ground.
- Terrain is baked in 128-block regions with a per-frame build budget and distance-based eviction, so panning stays smooth on a well-travelled world.
- The HELD atlas now shows the same map the opened book does: borders, colony and domain markers, and notes (it previously drew none of these).
- Bigger book, filling the window the way Antique Atlas 4 used to. Toggle with atlas_big_book.
- Private map notes: an Edit Mode button below the legend turns your atlas into a drawing surface -- pen, line, arrow, box, circle, text and eraser, eight ink colours, six brush sizes, Ctrl+Z undo, and marks stored per player per dimension (limit 2000). Notes draw on both the opened and the held book.
-- War table (from 1.0.8) ------------------------------------------------
- FIXED: mounting an atlas on the war table was broken against Antique Atlas 8 (it looked for the wrong item, so every atlas was rejected). Both the filled and empty Antique Atlas 8 books are now accepted.
- FIXED: the war board rendered black; it now draws the same terrain map the book does.
- Smoother board panning, a selection ring that stays on its banner, Ctrl+Z at the table, and the F4 commander minimap now draws terrain too.
-- Compatibility ---------------------------------------------------------
Requires MineColonies and War 'n Taxes (built against War 'n Taxes 5.0.2). Optional: Antique Atlas 8 (client-side, for all map features), Easy Factions (King gate and faction overlay), Hundred Years War. Every optional integration is fail-soft: when the mod is absent that feature stays dormant and the rest of the nobility ladder runs standalone.
