What's new
War 'n Nobility 1.0.4 (NeoForge 1.21.1)
=======================================
This release adds the War Table and folds in the map overhaul from 1.0.3 (which
was never released), plus Chancery Table polish.
NEW FEATURE: The War Table, a collaborative drawable war map
------------------------------------------------------------
Build a 3x3 grid of the new WAR FRAME block on a wall or a tabletop, mount an
Antique Atlas onto it, and the whole grid becomes one big live map of your world.
It is a war room for commanders: walk up, take the floor, and brief your officers
on a shared board everyone can watch in real time.
- WAR FRAME block: crafted from sticks + paper (8 sticks around 1 paper makes 6
frames). Mounts like an item frame on any sturdy wall or tabletop.
- 3x3 assembly: a complete grid of like-facing War Frames accepts an atlas
(right-click with an Antique Atlas in hand). The map spans all nine panels and
renders as a real antique parchment map.
- Live atlas: the board shows the real Antique Atlas terrain for your dimension,
and carries the same overlays the atlas does: colony, county, duchy and
kingdom borders, Easy Factions claims, and named colony / domain markers.
- Take the floor: right-click an active board to claim the marker and open the
commander's planner. Everyone else sees "<Player> has the floor" and watches
the board update live. The marker frees when you walk away (8 blocks), log off,
or go idle (30s), so the next officer can take over.
- The commander's kit (planner): grease pencil, straight line, advance arrow,
phase line, zone box, zone circle, objective marker, friendly / hostile /
unknown unit tokens, text labels, a "point here" pulse that flashes on every
watcher's board, a colour row, overlay toggles, zoom, undo, erase, and clear.
- Drawn plans are world-anchored: marks stay glued to the terrain they were drawn
over through pan, zoom and rotation, and they PERSIST. The plan survives relog,
server restart, and everyone logging off.
- Table rotation: a board on a table or floor can be spun a quarter-turn with
Shift+Right-click so it faces whoever is briefing.
- Removal: a finished board is mining-proof; punch it three times (with a "N more
hits" countdown) to knock the atlas loose. The atlas drops, the frames stay as
an empty 3x3 you can then mine off normally.
- The War Table needs Antique Atlas (client side) to show the live terrain;
without it the frame still assembles and you can still draw, on a plain board.
MAP OVERHAUL (carried over from the unreleased 1.0.3)
-----------------------------------------------------
- Faction and territory claims on the Antique Atlas now use each claim's REAL
colour (the colour the owner picked at the Territory Table), and show personal,
faction and admin claims, not just faction.
- Border hierarchy: when several domain tiers are shown at once, each chunk draws
only its highest tier (a county inside a kingdom melts into the kingdom).
- The Factions layer is its own group, mutually exclusive with the noble tiers.
- Legend rebuilt with a heraldic icon per tier (homestead colony, keep county,
shield duchy, crown kingdom), grouped under Domain Types and Faction Claims.
- Map markers wear their tier's heraldic icon, and every map element follows its
legend toggle.
- Easy Factions claims on the map are now independent of MineColonies.
CHANCERY TABLE polish
---------------------
- The Chancery console is much larger and scales to your window, so the text is
no longer cramped or clipped.
- The Chancery Table block now shows a proper open book on its lectern.
Requires MineColonies, War 'n Taxes, Easy Factions, and (client side) Antique
Atlas 4. Still an alpha release.
