Minecraft is a vast world, and yet there is hardly anything to explore. Once a player has seen the game's biomes, there is no reason to explore anymore. In total the base Minecraft game has a total of (roughly) 14 overworld structures. Wander adds more structures to the overworld greatly enhancing Minecraft's potential for exploration. Some are small, such as a small fox den or new variants of ice spike / tree. However, if lucky enough, a player can come across great and massive structures teeming with loot. Many of these large structures are rare and full of traps / mobs, but the loot inside is often worth it.

Wander contains 46 structures:
25 small structures (such as a small cabin) / features (such as hydrothermal vents)
13 medium sized structures (such as a large campsite or pyramid)
10 large or massive structures (such as a pillager castle or a massive dessert pyramid)
Wander also adds 8 new music discs which can only be found by exploring the world:
3 music discs are found in desert regions
2 music discs are found in arctic regions
2 music discs are found in jungle regions
1 music disc is found in ruined castles
