Vanilla Progression 0.8.4 — Minecraft 26.2

A maintenance release: one UI bug, and the mod's whole deprecation backlog cleared.

Fixed

The enchantment chooser overlapped itself, and worse than the founding screen did in 0.8.3. Its hint wrapped to two lines and drew across all three buttons — 10px of overlap, and 2px even when the hint fitted on one line — while the cost sentence was drawn without wrapping and hung about 10px past both borders of the panel. It measures its content and stacks its rows now, the same way the founding screen does, and the enchantment list shrinks rather than letting anything collide when the window is short.

Under the hood

The mod carried a list of deprecated APIs that still worked but were the next port's bill. All of it is gone, and the main source now compiles with zero deprecation warnings:

• Thirteen datapack reload listeners moved to Fabric's current resource-loader API. Every registry kept its behaviour exactly, including the "refuse the bad file and keep the previous table" rule that stops a typo in a datapack from silently disabling a system.
• The Surveyor's Baton's tooltip became a data component instead of an override.
• The gametests' mock player was replaced with Fabric's own.

Boring on purpose. It means the next Minecraft version is a smaller job.

Retired

The 1.20.1 build is no longer maintained. vprog-0.7.0.jar stays available and is still a complete, playable release — it simply receives nothing further, including the balance changes from 0.8.1 onward. If you are on 1.20.1 and want the current design, you will need to move.
