Vongola Family is an anime-inspired Minecraft Forge mod heavily influenced by Katekyo Hitman Reborn. It introduces flame-based powers, rings, transformations, and ability systems designed to feel earned and balanced.
Players are assigned one of seven flame types: Sky, Storm, Rain, Sun, Lightning, Cloud, or Mist. Each flame determines which abilities and rings a player can access. Abilities are activated through keybinds either secondary, primary, or flight based
Rings act as the primary gateway to abilities and are equipped using Curios. Vongola Rings and Half Rings are integrated into structure loot and crafting progression. Certain rings are mutually exclusive and cannot be worn together, reinforcing gameplay balance. Ring gating ensures abilities cannot be activated without the correct equipment.
Rings can be found within variety of dungeon structures within the overworld and within the nether.
Lightning abilities emphasize sustained combat and high-energy attacks. These abilities use stamina over time rather than single bursts, with carefully tuned cooldowns and sound handling to avoid spam. Lightning gameplay rewards aggressive but controlled play.
Rain abilities revolve around Shigure Soen Ryu techniques. Players can summon clones, switch weapon forms, and swap positions mid-combat. Rain-exclusive weapons reject non-Rain users, ensuring flame identity remains intact and balanced.
Sun abilities focus on raw power and area damage. These include explosive attacks that respect mobGriefing rules, apply damage in controlled areas, and feature strong visual effects tied to the Sun flame’s destructive nature.
The Mist flame includes a fully implemented Six Paths system. Modes are cycled through a dedicated system and are completely gated behind the Vongola Mist Ring. Abilities cannot be triggered, cycled, or produce chat feedback unless the correct ring is equipped.
A special Mist-aligned ability set inspired by the Origins Phantom.
The Phantom Ring is a standalone ring separate from the Vongola Mist Ring and cannot be worn alongside it. When equipped, it unlocks Phantom abilities.
Phantom Phase allows players to phase through blocks using a spectator-based system with strict horizontal movement. Duration scales with hunger at activation.
Phantom Invisibility grants true invisibility, hiding armor, weapons, and the player’s shadow. It drains hunger rapidly while active.
Phantom users suffer strong weaknesses. They take double damage in direct sunlight, have their abilities disabled while exposed to sunlight, receive visual and audio feedback when sunlight is harming them, and experience a fast metabolism that causes hunger to drain 1.5× faster than vanilla Minecraft hunger drain.
The Hyper Will Pill can be consumed at any time once a player has an assigned flame. Activating Hyper Will Mode grants temporary power boosts, with duration scaling based on player progression.
Deathperation pills grant weaker boosts with the cost of removing armor equipment
