We are excited to announce the initial release of VoiceNote (v1.0)! This version introduces complete in-game voice messaging functionality directly inside Minecraft chat for both Fabric and Forge loaders.

🚀 Key Features & Additions

🎙️ Hold-to-Talk & Instant Dispatch (Hold-Send)

  • Added a dedicated, unassigned hotkey option called "Hold-Send" (Bas-Gönder).
  • Holding this key instantly starts recording audio from your microphone.
  • Renders a translucent live HUD overlay at the top-center of the screen showing:
    • Blinking red recording indicator.
    • Elapsed recording seconds (mm:ss).
    • Scrolling real-time WhatsApp-style audio amplitude waves.
  • Releasing the key automatically stops recording and dispatches the voice note to server-wide chat.

💬 Clickable Chat Messages & Waveform Previews

  • Voice messages are sent to chat with a royal purple bold design displaying the sender's name and voice note duration.
  • Clicking a voice note in chat opens an interactive client-side VoiceNote Player GUI:
    • Visualizes a static 32-bar waveform matching the audio amplitudes of the recording.
    • Includes Play, Pause, Seek-to-Time, and Volume controls.
    • Supports dynamic sine-wave bouncing animations during active playback.
  • Added a "Play Last Key" hotkey mapping in options. Pressing it toggles playback of the most recently received voice note from chat.

🎛️ In-Game Configuration Screen

  • Added a custom VoiceNote Options Button (🎙️) placed next to the "Language..." button in the standard vanilla Options menu.
  • Allows players to customize:
    • Input Device: Select any available system microphone.
    • Microphone Gain: Boost microphone output (50% to 200%).
    • Playback Volume: Control the volume scale of incoming audio notes.
    • Independent Keybindings: Customize Hold-Send and Play Last hotkeys inside the settings menu.
    • Microphone Diagnostics: Run a 3-second test recording and play it back locally to check your microphone levels before broadcasting.

  • Full language translation maps included for:
    • 🇺🇸 English (US)
    • 🇹🇷 Turkish (TR)
