Voice Destroy

Speak it. Destroy it. Survive.

Voice Destroy is a multiplayer voice-controlled challenge mod for Minecraft. Saying the French name of a Minecraft block, item, potion or creature can immediately affect the world around every connected player.

The mod is designed for voluntary challenge servers where every participant understands that spoken words can cause large and unexpected changes to the world.

Offline French Speech Recognition

Speech recognition runs locally on each player's computer using the included Vosk French model.

No microphone recording is uploaded to an external speech-recognition service. Voice Destroy connects directly to Simple Voice Chat's audio stream to avoid opening the microphone twice.

The French model is embedded inside the mod, which explains the larger JAR size.

Voice Destruction

Depending on the server settings, a recognized word can:

Remove matching blocks from loaded chunks around every player.
Remove matching items from every connected player's inventory.
Remove matching dropped items from loaded worlds.
Remove matching potions, including normal, extended and strengthened variants.
Remove passive creatures without generating items or experience.
Spawn additional hostile creatures when the named monster is already within six blocks.
Remove water, lava and other normally difficult-to-remove blocks.
Empty containers before removing them, preventing their contents from dropping.

The loaded-chunk radius is configurable and every operation is processed progressively with a hard chunk limit to protect server performance.

French Dictionary and Variant Families

Voice Destroy uses Minecraft's official French translations and an extended dictionary of common player vocabulary.

Related variants are grouped together. For example:

Logs, wood and planks include every wood type.
Leaves and foliage include every tree variant.
Sand includes normal and red sand.
Meat includes raw meat, cooked meat, fish and rotten flesh.
Trees include natural wood and leaves.
Chests include normal, trapped and Ender chests.
Potions include their different durations, strengths and bottle types.
Tools such as swords include every material variant.

Server operators can add, edit or remove custom dictionary aliases directly from the in-game manager.

Multiplayer Teams

Voice Destroy includes a complete multiplayer team system:

Leader, officer and member roles.
Invitations using the connected-player selector.
Private in-game team text chat.
Persistent /teamchat mode and /tc <message>.
Danger, enemy, resource and rally pings.
Directional HUD arrows for the team base, pings and teammates.
Teammate distance and health information.
Intrusion alerts when an enemy enters a claimed base.

Team Voice Modes

The mod integrates with Simple Voice Chat and provides three operator-controlled team modes:

OPEN: teammates can speak at unlimited distance while nearby outsiders remain audible.
TEAM ONLY / ISOLATED: only members of the team can hear each other.
PROXIMITY: normal proximity voice without a distant team group.

Only server operators can change these voice modes.

Protected Team Bases

A team leader receives a custom base banner.

Placing it creates a protected claim that starts at 3 × 3 chunks and can be upgraded to:

5 × 5 chunks using 16 diamonds.
7 × 7 chunks using 4 netherite ingots.

Enemies cannot break, place or use blocks inside another team's claim. Voice-triggered block destruction also ignores enemy claims.

Members can still build or accidentally destroy blocks inside their own claim, preserving the central challenge of the mod.

The leader also receives:

A base detector that reports chest, construction and entity density above or below the player without revealing exact coordinates.
A base radio that creates a rally alert and directional ping when used inside the team's claim.

Responsive In-Game Manager

Open the Minecraft pause menu and select VOICE.

The responsive manager includes:

Live microphone level and waveform.
Microphone playback test.
Speaker test.
Input and output device selection.
Adjustable microphone gain.
Server rule controls.
Shared dictionary editor.
Team administration.
Private team chat and pings.
Recognition history.

Server rules, the shared dictionary, direct team administration and team voice modes require operator permission level 2.

Voice Destroy, Fabric API and Simple Voice Chat must be installed on the server and on every participating client.

The Simple Voice Chat UDP port, 24454 by default, must be open on dedicated servers.

Important

Voice Destroy intentionally causes destructive and unpredictable gameplay. Back up important worlds before enabling it and only use it on servers where all players have agreed to the challenge.
