What's new

Minecraft 26.1 – 26.3. One file covers 26.1, 26.1.1, 26.1.2, 26.2 and 26.3 on NeoForge.

The same two features as 1.1.1, with the same settings and the same config/vira.properties — a config from 1.1.1 carries over as it is:

  • the world renders below your display's resolution with an FSR 1.0 upscale (or bilinear), while the HUD, menus and text stay at native size and stay sharp;
  • a shader pack's shadow map is rebuilt every Nth frame instead of every frame (needs Iris).

Settings in Sodium's video options, in Mods → Vira → Config, and in the config file — all three apply while the game runs.

Needs the OpenGL graphics API, which is Minecraft's default. If you switched Video Settings → Graphics API to Vulkan, Vira stays idle and says so in its settings, with the way back.

With Iris, install Window Resize Fix 2.1.0 or newer. Without it Vira keeps the world at native resolution and says why in its settings; the shadow setting still works.

The frame ledger in the log is still there (GPU time, render-thread time, 1% lows, stalls). The split of the world's CPU time into terrain, entities and block entities is 1.21.1 only.
