Works like my other mod but for Villagers Reborn. Adds mining/excavation behavior to Villagers Reborn.
How it works:
Place 4 redstone torches in square with equal distance. Works best with multiple of 2 e.g. 4x4, 10x10. In Action menu go to work menu and choose Mining.
- Make sure that villager is close to a mine.
- Before startining the task give the villager a pickaxe.
- Give some stone blocks (e.g. cobblestone, sandstone) to build stairs.
- When villagers inventory is full it will try to find a "Storage" to free the inventory.
- At the moment the villager ports back to the mining sites starting position when it gets stuck/falls down in to caves.(why? cause I got mad when all the escape mechanics I implimented had some kind of flaw. place blocks to get out? no. build itself in? yes. Find safe pathout? no. go die to mobs? YES ...)
HOW TO DESIGN "STORAGE":
set home for the villager and place containers in the house. (max room size 8x8)
NOTE:
- For now it works ONLY on Female villagers
- For some reason villager forgets how to open doors, so for now just keep the villagers house door open or open for it when its hugging the door.
- If you encounter the bug where the villager starts to just rotate on mining sites stairs, just set the villager on follow mode.
- Do not touch the villagers main hand when mining work is active, it can cause the pickaxe to disappear.
- Does not dig? give it some stone blocks (e.g. cobblestone, sandstone), or dig down redstone torches one block.
