Villager Wrangler 1.4.0 — Fabric / Minecraft 26.3

Villager Wrangler is now available for Fabric!

This release brings the complete Villager Wrangler experience to Minecraft 26.3 using Fabric, with the same lightweight features available in the NeoForge version.

Features

• Lead adult and baby Villagers using Leads.

• Attract Villagers by holding Emeralds or custom tagged items.

• Configure attraction range and movement speed.

• Optionally enable Wandering Trader leading and attraction.

• Enable optional particle effects when villagers notice an attraction item.

• Customize attraction items through the villagerwrangler:villager_attractants datapack tag.

• Preserve normal villager trading, sleeping, working, breeding, and safety behaviors.

Fabric Compatibility

• Added native Fabric support for Minecraft 26.3.

• Adapted interactions, AI integration, and configuration for Fabric.

• Added lightweight server-authoritative configuration with restart-based updates.

• Supports vanilla datapack tag replacement for customizing attraction items.

• Preserves existing gameplay behavior without introducing new features.

Testing and Validation

• 57/57 automated tests passed, including two Fabric-specific regressions.

• Graphical client and dedicated-server validation passed.

• Datapack loading and reload testing passed.

• Packaged-JAR testing passed.

• 100-Villager performance and cleanup validation passed.

• No remaining tracked entities or forced chunks after cleanup.

Requirements: Minecraft 26.3, Fabric Loader, and any Fabric API dependencies specified on the release file.

Note: This JAR is for Fabric only. NeoForge players should use the separate NeoForge 26.3 release.
