Welcome to Villager Turrets, a combat and defense-oriented mod that introduces highly customizable automated sentry guards to protect your bases and villages! No more defenseless villages—now you can deploy loyal Villager Sentries to shoot down threats automatically.

⚙️ How to Get Started

1. Craft the Turret Parts Exchange (Vending Machine)

To start your defense journey, you first need to craft the Turret Parts Exchange block. It uses the vanilla stonecutter model but acts as a tactical shop!

Recipe: Place 3 Wood Planks (or Wood Logs) in a vertical line in any crafting table.

2. Purchase a Sentry Spawn Egg

Right-click the Turret Parts Exchange block to open the custom store.
Trade 10 Emeralds to buy 1 Villager Sentry Spawn Egg.
You can also compress your Emeralds into Condensed Emeralds (worth 9 Emeralds) for easier currency management here!

3. Deploy and Upgrade Your Sentry

Right-click the ground with the spawn egg to summon your Villager Sentry.
Right-click the spawned Villager Sentry to open their specialized Upgrade & Customization UI.
Use Emeralds and Turret Point Tokens (Low, Mid, High) to level them up and grant them supernatural combat abilities!

🛡️ Tier 1: Core Physics & Defense (Requires Low-Grade Tokens)

Recharge Speed: Decreases attack cooldowns by 0.25 seconds per level.
Arrow Velocity: Increases arrow speed for sharper, more accurate long-range snipes.
Invulnerability Frames: Extends the safety invulnerability time when the turret takes damage.
Self-Healing: Automatically regenerates health over time and boosts level-up heals.
XP Discount: Instantly halves the total XP required for the turret to level up.

⚙️ Tier 2: Tactical Fire & Status Effects (Requires Mid-Grade Tokens)

Arrow Count: Increases the number of arrows shot per volley (Up to 10 arrows!).
Fan Shot Pattern: Shoots arrows in a wide cone-shaped spread for crowd control.
Burst Fire Pattern: Rapidly bursts arrows in a straight line with 0.1-second delays.
Knockback Mode: Deals 1/10th damage but resets enemy invulnerability frames and delivers massive knockback.
Heavy Strike Mode: Fires all arrows simultaneously, ignoring enemy invulnerability frames for a burst of pure raw damage.
Vacuum Control (No Gravity): Projectiles defy gravity and fly in a perfectly straight line forever.
Potion Coating: Coats all fired arrows with status effects: [Poison], [Weakness], or [Slowness].

The Healer Turret is a stationary support companion designed to protect and heal you and your allies during your adventures. It automatically restores health, draws enemy attention to protect you, and can be upgraded using vanilla materials to unlock powerful special abilities.

📌 Core Features

Intelligent Auto-Healing: The turret automatically targets and heals the lowest-health player nearby. If all players are healthy, it will heal other injured allied entities or itself.
Earn XP & Level Up: Every time the turret restores health, it earns experience points. When it levels up, its maximum health increases, it fully restores its own HP, and it drops useful upgrade tokens alongside a burst of XP orbs.
Undead Taunt & Protection: Whenever the turret heals an ally, it emits a small purification pulse that deals minor damage to nearby undead. This draws the enemies' attention (aggro) to the turret, allowing it to act as a sturdy decoy shield while you fight.
Real-time Hologram Status: Floating 3D text and colorful progress bars hover above the turret to show its current Level, HP, XP, and real-time Cooldown status.

🛠️ Upgrades & Trading

Right-clicking the turret opens a trade menu where you can exchange just 1 mineral (Iron, Gold, or Emerald) for upgrade receipts. Simply right-click the turret with the receipt to apply the upgrade permanently.

1. Iron Ingot Upgrades

Cooldown Reduction: Decreases the waiting time between heals (down to a minimum of 1 second).
Range Expansion: Increases the radius in which the turret can detect and heal allies.

2. Gold Ingot Upgrades

Heal Strength: Boosts the amount of health restored per cast (+1 HP / half a heart).
Overheal Shield: Converts any excess healing that goes over the target's maximum health into permanent, stacking yellow absorption hearts.

3. Emerald Upgrades

AOE Healing (Unlocks at Level 3): Upgrades the turret to emit a massive wave of healing that restores health to all nearby allies at once (applies a slight penalty to healing amount and cooldown).
Debuff Cleanse (Unlocks at Level 5): Cures healed targets of harmful negative effects, including Poison, Wither, Slowness, and Weakness.

The Lightning Wizard Turret is a powerful, stationary offensive companion designed to control the battlefield with electrical magic. It excels at locking down high-threat targets with precise stuns and unleashing devastating area-of-effect lightning storms when fully charged.

📌 Core Abilities

Stun Bolts (Normal Attack): The turret fires homing electric projectiles at approaching zombies. Upon impact, the bolt deals magic damage and inflicts a Stun effect that temporarily freezes the target in place.
Cooldowm Siphoning: Every time a Stun Bolt successfully hits a target, the cooldown of the turret's Ultimate ability is reduced by several seconds, allowing it to charge its ultimate much faster.
Ultimate: Lightning Storm: Once fully charged (and if enemies are nearby), the turret automatically summons a localized storm. For its duration, visual lightning bolts strike down on nearby targets, dealing massive magical damage every 0.25 seconds.
Decoy Combat Growth: The turret gains experience points (XP) when it secures kills or successfully casts its ultimate. Leveling up increases its maximum health, heals it, and rewards you with a specialized upgrade token.

⚡ Real-Time Status Indicators

The holographic display above the turret's head keeps you updated on its exact status during combat:

HP and XP Gauges: Real-time health and experience meters showing current progress.
Ultimate Charge Bar: A dedicated indicator showing the ultimate's status. It displays READY when charged, a countdown timer during cooldown, or STORM during active lightning bombardment.

🛠️ Upgrades & Features

Right-clicking the turret opens a trade interface where you can exchange specialized tokens or Emeralds for Upgrade Receipts. Simply right-click the turret with a receipt to apply the enhancement.

Electro-Frequency Paralysis (Stun Duration): Increases the stun duration of normal attacks, keeping enemies locked down for longer.
Reverse Electrostatic Storage (Cooldown Siphoning): Boosts the ultimate cooldown reduction triggered by successful normal attacks, letting the turret recharge its storm even faster.
Overcurrent Electromagnetic Fusion (Ultimate Damage): Biologically modifies the lightning bolts to deal significantly higher pierce damage per strike during the storm.
Storm Cloud Shroud Maintenance (Ultimate Duration): Extends the active duration of the ultimate's lightning storm by +1 second per level (up to a maximum of 10 seconds).

📌 Core Attack: Heavy Plasma Orb

Slow & Heavy Projectile: Fires a zero-gravity plasma orb that travels in a straight line.
Impact Stun: On impact, it deals high magical damage and inflicts a long 5-second Stun to the direct target and any overlapping enemies caught in its large hitbox.
Combat Growth: Earns experience points (XP) based on how many enemies it hits, increasing its maximum health and dropping upgrade tokens upon leveling up.

🛠️ Essential Upgrades

By trading with the turret using specialized tokens or Emeralds, you can permanently upgrade its capabilities using the following paths:

Cooldown Reduction: Decreases the charging and overheating delay between shots.
Orb Size Expansion: Enlarges the physical size and collision hitbox of the plasma orb by +25% per level, allowing it to swallow and strike multiple grouped enemies at once.
Damage Increase: Boosts the flat magical friction damage of each plasma strike.
Stun Extension: Adds +1.0 second of electrostatic stun duration per level to the targeted enemies.
Split Shot (Requires Level 4+): Upgrades the turret to shoot 2 or 3 plasma orbs simultaneously in a fan-shaped spread, blanketing a wide area in front of it.

📌 Core Defensive Mechanics

Massive Decoy: Starts with high base health and is completely immune to knockback, acting as a sturdy, immovable shield for your base.
Area Taunt: Periodically unleashes a thunderous roar, forcing all nearby zombies to target the turret. During a taunt, the turret's overhead health bar glows golden to signify its active defensive state.
Thorns Retaliation: Automatically reflects a percentage of its current remaining health as flat physical damage back to melee attackers.
Combat Growth: Gains experience points (XP) both when hit by zombies and when successfully executing a taunt. Leveling up increases its maximum health, heals it, and rewards you with specialized upgrade tokens.

Taunt Frequency Amplification: Extends the active duration of the aggro lock-on.
