Village Villager Respawn

Tired of losing all the villagers in your village?

Village Villager Respawn makes villages a little more permanent by allowing villagers to respawn after they die!

When a villager dies in a village, the mod finds the village bell and, after a short delay, spawns a replacement villager at a safe location near the bell.

How It Works

When a villager dies, the mod checks for a village bell nearby.

If a bell is found, the villager is registered for respawning.

After approximately 30 seconds, a new villager is spawned on a safe block near the village bell.

Villager dies → Village bell detected → 30-second wait → Replacement villager spawns near the bell

Important Version Note

Maintaining the same mod across many different Minecraft and Forge versions has become too difficult and time-consuming.

Because of this, most of my mods will stay on Forge 26.2 for now.

I want to focus on building and improving my mods instead of spending most of my time maintaining many separate versions of the same project.

Eventually, when I'm ready to move on from Forge 26.2, my newer mods may move to a newer Minecraft/Forge version as well.

For now, Forge 26.2 is the main version I am focusing on.

Future Ideas

Possible additions in future updates include preserving more information from the original villager, such as its profession, trading level, or trades.

Installation

1. Install the correct version of Minecraft Forge.

2. Download Village Villager Respawn.

3. Place the .jar file inside your Minecraft mods folder.

4. Start Minecraft with Forge.

5. Enter a world containing a village.

6. Villagers that die near a village bell can now return!
