Buy basic items from them with Emeralds or buy with Sapphires for better loot.

After losing everything in their past village now they wander seeking for any kind of help. Offer them Food, or a Emerald. Convert them into a Villager by giving them a Block of Emerald

An exile to Pillagers. Hire them with Emeralds to follow you around as a bodyguard.
An escapee from who knows where. You decide if you want to set them free by breaking their chains with your sword.
These spawn naturally in your world while traveling in the day or night.
Description
Villager Roamers:
-Adventurer (Higher tier loot and drop arrows)
-Beggar (Donate Food or a Emerald for a small Buff, or Emerald Block to turn into normal Villager)
-Explorer (Chance to drop natural farming goods from it's explorations)
-Warrior (Fights off monsters that threat Villagers)
Pillager Roamers:
-Ambusher (Only Attacks mobs that greatly threaten Pillagers)
-Dealer (Offers goods for anyone who trades Emeralds or Sapphires with them)
-Exile (Hire these to follow you while they kill any nearby monsters)
-Prisoner (Escapees looking to be set free. Break their chains with your sword to do so, if you wish)
-Scout (Spies watching Village and Player activity to report back to. They run from the player when close)
