vextris-forge-1.20.1-0.1.0.jar
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Vextris 0.1.0
First stable release. It stabilizes the 0.1.0-alpha.1 baseline: the Java API, mesh resource format, mod ID and rendering implementation are unchanged.
What's new
- Published on Maven Central:
io.github.dwom10912:vextris:0.1.0. UsemavenCentral(); no token or local repository needed. - Release type is now Release instead of Alpha.
Included
- Load, validate and bake triangle and planar convex quad meshes from
.vxmesh.json; paired.aflmesh.jsonfiles are still read for existing consumers. - Immutable geometry, bone hierarchies and code-built meshes (
MeshModel.builder()). - Static meshes render at their bind pose; consumers can apply their own per-bone transforms.
- Rendering through Minecraft's vertex consumers, in cutout and translucent layers.
- Baked once per resource reload; F3+T is safe.
- Optional GeckoLib bridge: GeckoLib animates the bones, Vextris draws the mesh.
- Library only: adds no items, blocks or world generation.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge 47.4.22 or newer within 47.x, Java 17.
- GeckoLib is not required. The optional bridge is enabled only for GeckoLib 4.7.4.
- Remove any older Vextris JAR from
modsbefore installing.
For developers
compileOnlyandruntimeOnly fg.deobf("io.github.dwom10912:vextris:0.1.0"). Do not bundle Vextris into your mod.- In
mods.toml, useversionRange="[0.1.0,0.2.0-alpha)". Existing[0.1.0-alpha.1,0.2.0-alpha)ranges already accept 0.1.0.
Known limits
- Flat normals, one texture per draw and CPU vertex submission. No GPU mesh cache, skinning, morph targets or model importer.
- Shader-pack compatibility is not certified.
- GeckoLib 4.8.4: core drawing works; the animation bridge is off by default and not certified.
