🌿 Verdant Realms

Verdant Realms makes singleplayer and small multiplayer worlds more comfortable, more exciting and more atmospheric. Explore a brand-new misty dimension, challenge a multi-phase boss, meet new creatures, find hidden loot structures – and enjoy handy quality-of-life features along the way.

Built for Forge 1.20.1. Works great with LAN worlds and Essential world hosting.

🌫️ The Mistwood Dimension

A dimension of eternal night, colored fog, auroras and glowing fireflies.

• Three biomes: Mistwood Forest, Glowcap Marsh and Crystal Barrens – each with its own fog color, ambient sounds and music
• How to get there: craft a Mist Portal, place it and stand inside for a moment. A return portal is built automatically on arrival.

Mist Portal recipe: 4 Moss Blocks, 4 Amethyst Shards, 1 Eye of Ender

👑 Boss: The Root King

Deep in the Mistwood Forest lie ancient arenas with a Root Altar. Use a Root Seed on it to awaken the Root King.

• 3 phases with a boss bar and phase transitions
• Special attacks: ground slam, root lines, root rings, summoned minions, leap with shockwave, poison spore clouds and a darkness roar
• Loot: Heart of the Grove (permanently +2 hearts) and a rare chance for the Root Blade – a sword that entangles enemies in roots

🦌 New Creatures

All creatures have custom models and smooth animations.

🏰 New Structures with Loot (Overworld)

• Ruined Watchtower – tall stone tower with a lookout platform, weapons and supplies
• Abandoned Camp – tent, campfire and barrels full of supplies
• Forgotten Crypt – underground room with a monster spawner and two treasure chests
• Forest Shrine – small overgrown shrine with a loot chest
• Hollow Logs – fallen, mossy tree trunks in forests

🎒 Quality of Life

• Inventory sorting: press R (or click the ⇅ button) in your inventory or a chest
• Backpacks: Backpack (27 slots) and Large Backpack (54 slots)
• Veinminer: hold ^ / ` while mining an ore or log to break the whole vein or tree at once (uses tool durability)
• Building Wand: extends a whole 3×3, 5×5 or 9×9 surface of blocks with a live preview

👥 Player List for LAN / Essential

When you host your world (LAN or Essential), a clean player list in the top-left corner shows every player with their head, name, health, current dimension, ping and AFK status. The host is marked with a ★. Toggle it with J.

• Fireflies in forests at night
• Sparkles when mining ores, falling leaves when chopping trees, impact rings in combat
• Custom animated main menu panorama

All keys can be changed in Options → Controls → Verdant Realms.

⚙️ Config

Veinminer limit, tree felling, player list, particles and fireflies can be adjusted in config/verdantrealms-common.toml.

❗ Notes

• Required on both client and server. Everyone joining a hosted world needs the mod installed.
• New structures only appear in newly generated chunks.
• All recipes are unlocked in the recipe book automatically.

🌫️ Die Mistwood-Dimension

Eine Dimension mit ewiger Nacht, farbigem Nebel, Polarlichtern und leuchtenden Glühwürmchen.

• Drei Biome: Nebelwald, Glimmermarsch und Kristallöde – jedes mit eigener Nebelfarbe, Umgebungsgeräuschen und Musik
• So kommst du hin: Crafte ein Nebelportal, stell es hin und bleib kurz darin stehen. Am Ziel wird automatisch ein Rückportal gebaut.

Rezept Nebelportal: 4 Moosblöcke, 4 Amethystsplitter, 1 Enderauge

👑 Boss: Der Wurzelkönig

Tief im Nebelwald liegen uralte Arenen mit einem Wurzelaltar. Benutze dort einen Wurzelsamen, um den Wurzelkönig zu erwecken.

• 3 Phasen mit Bossleiste und Phasenwechseln
• Spezialangriffe: Stampfschlag, Wurzellinien, Wurzelringe, beschworene Diener, Sprung mit Schockwelle, Giftsporenwolken und ein Brüllen, das Dunkelheit bringt
• Beute: Herz des Hains (dauerhaft +2 Herzen) und mit etwas Glück die Wurzelklinge – ein Schwert, das Gegner mit Wurzeln fesselt

🦌 Neue Kreaturen

Alle Kreaturen haben eigene Modelle und flüssige Animationen.

🏰 Neue Strukturen mit Beute (Oberwelt)

• Verfallener Wachturm – hoher Steinturm mit Aussichtsplattform, Waffen und Vorräten
• Verlassenes Lager – Zelt, Lagerfeuer und Fässer voller Vorräte
• Vergessene Krypta – unterirdischer Raum mit Monster-Spawner und zwei Schatzkisten
• Waldschrein – kleiner, bewachsener Schrein mit Beute-Kiste
• Hohle Baumstämme – umgestürzte, bemooste Stämme in Wäldern

🎒 Komfortfunktionen

• Inventar sortieren: Drück R (oder klick auf den ⇅-Knopf) im Inventar oder in einer Kiste
• Rucksäcke: Rucksack (27 Plätze) und Großer Rucksack (54 Plätze)
• Veinminer: Halte ^ beim Abbauen eines Erzes oder Stamms, um die ganze Ader bzw. den ganzen Baum auf einmal abzubauen (verbraucht Werkzeug-Haltbarkeit)
• Bauzauberstab: Baut eine ganze 3×3-, 5×5- oder 9×9-Fläche weiter – mit Live-Vorschau

• Wird auf Client und Server benötigt. Jeder, der einer gehosteten Welt beitritt, braucht die Mod.
