🌿 Verdant Fields

Verdant Fields is a mod focused on expanding Minecraft’s nature with vibrant, multi-layered biomes, unique wild flora, and fun interactive mechanics that fit right into the vanilla game.

Our first big focus is the Tropical Rainforest — a dense, humid jungle biome packed with new trees, dangers, and harvestable resources.

🌴 What's in the mod?

🌳 The Rainforest

Instead of rows of trees, the rainforest is characterized by a natural, multi-layered canopy::

• Small Mahogany: Curved understory trees covered in vines.
• Mega Mahogany: Sturdy mid-canopy giants.
• Massive Mahogany: Rare, colossal landmark trees that tower high above the entire forest.
• Fallen Logs: Old, decaying mahogany trunks lying on the ground, overgrown with wild mushrooms.

🍈 The Heavy Jackfruit

The biggest fruit that grows on a tree now grows directly on mahogany trunks!

• Growth Stages: Plant seeds on the side of logs and let them grow from tiny buds into massive spiky fruits.
• Falling Physics: Shoot a ripe fruit down with an arrow (or chop the tree supporting it) to send it crashing to the ground.

🐟 River Dangers: Piranhas

Think twice before jumping into rainforest rivers!

• Piranhas swim in packs, actively hunt in the water, and feature smooth, realistic fish animations.
• Can be caught in buckets or fought for survival.

🪵 New Blocks, Flora & Gear

• Mahogany Woodset: Complete set including planks, stairs, doors, trapdoors, signs, hanging signs, and boats.
• Marsh & River Plants: Water lilies, duckweed, cattails, and bellflowers.
• Silver Equipment: Craft tools, armor, and combat spears from raw silver ore.
