## Velvet Night 2.3.0 — Automatic Shader Balance & Live Pack Switching
- Fixed Iris/Oculus shader switching so supported shader packs receive Velvet Night during their existing compilation. You no longer need to reselect a preset after switching shaders.
- Velvet Night now reads the configured shader selection during preprocessing, avoiding problems caused by the loader briefly reporting the previous shader pack.
- Added automatic shader-family balancing without changing presets or saved slider values.
- Added calibration for Complementary, BSL, and Bliss shader families.
- Unknown and unsupported shader packs continue using safe, neutral behavior.
- Added an **Auto shader balance** option under **F8 → Advanced & World**.
- Disabling automatic balance preserves the original preset strength and remains saved after restarting.
- Fixed Oculus’s `(off)` option so disabling shaders properly clears the previous bridge, hook, and detection state.
- Added safe shader reload synchronization when shaders begin loading before Velvet Night’s saved configuration is ready.
- Shader-pack switching never reapplies, replaces, or modifies the player’s selected preset.
- Fixed the **Universal** profile so it remains lightmap-only and applies no shader-bridge darkness effects.
- Added proper handling for shader-option reloads and switching between different packs from the same shader family.
- Updated the portable configuration file to schema 6.
- Existing presets, custom values, shader profiles, setup completion, dimension settings, and balance preferences are preserved during migration.
- Expanded verification for live pack transitions, stale shader detection, automatic balance curves, shaders-off cleanup, configuration migration, and both production loader builds.
- Fully client-side.
- Available for Forge and Fabric on Minecraft 1.20.1.
- Fabric API is not required.
