vein-mutations-0.2.0.jar
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Vein 0.2.0
Added
• Mutations are visible without opening the K menu. From rank III, Bone makes the empty hand thicker and the view a little narrower. Pupil draws a cold edge on the screen. At Pupil rank V, hot eyes draw veins along that edge, and the veins fade out as the heat drops. After raw food, Flesh draws a red edge. At Bone rank V, a full-power hit flashes a crack across the screen. That crack has no sound of its own.
• Each vein can show a short full-screen surge, about half a second, with its own sound. The old surge still plays the same way. The new screen is only the picture.
• Another player who has the mod sees a small eye mark when your Pupil is rank III or higher, and hears a heavier step. The mod does not replace the player skin.
• Eight small body events were added: your hands look wrong in the inventory, water breathes back at you, a still pose in third person, a heat flicker, a shot pulled wide while the hands shake, raw food sitting too well, a breath that does not touch the air, and a rank V silhouette. The first full surge, the hands, the water, and the pose each grant an advancement.
• Creative mode has a tab named Vein: Mutations. Its icon is the Vein logo. The Echo Ampoule is inside that tab.
• On the vein page, a click on the empty square opens a window of the ampoules in your inventory. Click one and then the square, or shift-click the ampoule, and it goes into the square.
• Operators, and anyone in creative, can use /vein preview and /vein surge for filming. Preview changes what you see for about a minute. It does not change the saved rank.
• New sounds: bone surge, a breath in water, a breath in the dark, heat flicker, and a quiet bone creak when a filled hand becomes empty.
Removed
• Hardcore is no longer the default, and it is no longer part of the version name. The file is vein-mutations-0.2.0.jar.
• A vanilla hardcore world no longer switches the mod to hardcore by itself.
Changed
• A new world starts on normal. An operator can switch it with /vein mode arcade, normal, or hardcore. Arcade is the old casual set of numbers.
• The first ten minutes of a new character gain vein XP faster. Normal uses a smaller bonus than arcade. A save that already has ranks or vein XP skips this.
• Saves from 0.1.0 open. Ranks, vein XP, and the separate pool stay where they were.
