## Efficiency Swap

Efficiency Swap is a client-side Fabric mod for Minecraft Java Edition 26.1.2 that automates Efficiency attribute swapping between two pickaxes.

### Features

- Press **Shift + H** to enable or disable the mod.

- Uses that Efficiency attribute while mining with a selected netherite pickaxe.

- Displays action-bar messages when toggled, automatically switching tools, or protecting a low-durability pickaxe.
- Compatible with Fabric and Lunar Client on Minecraft 26.1.2.
- The server does not need to install the mod.

### How it affects gameplay

Players can mine using their normal Silk Touch netherite pickaxe while borrowing the Efficiency level from an enchanted iron pickaxe in their hotbar. This allows the netherite pickaxe to retain its normal harvesting properties while benefiting from the source pickaxe’s mining-speed attribute.

For example, a player can keep an Efficiency X iron pickaxe and a Silk Touch netherite pickaxe in their hotbar. With Efficiency Swap enabled, the player selects the netherite pickaxe and mines normally. The mod automatically handles the required hotbar packet sequence.

When the selected netherite pickaxe falls below 30 durability, the mod searches the hotbar for another safe netherite pickaxe with Silk Touch. If one is found, the mod switches to it automatically. If no replacement is available, mining is blocked to prevent the original pickaxe from breaking.

### Requirements

- Minecraft Java Edition 26.1.2
- Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or newer
- Fabric API
- Java 25

### Installation

1. Install Fabric Loader and Fabric API for Minecraft 26.1.2.
2. Place the Efficiency Swap JAR in the client’s `mods` folder.
3. Start Minecraft and keep both pickaxes in the hotbar.
4. Select the netherite pickaxe.
5. Press **Shift + H** to enable the mod.

### Important server notice

This mod relies on Minecraft 26.1.2’s attribute-swapping behavior. It may not function on servers that patch or disable attribute swapping. Some servers may prohibit automated swapping or rapid slot packets, so players should check the server’s rules before using it.
