Vaskars Remains 0.3.1
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
0.3.1
Remains is now the dead and nothing else. The Chronicle, the stories and pages on bodies, the atlas and coins have moved to Vaskars Opus, which is built on Remains and includes it.
New
- Your own body. When you die you leave a corpse in your own skin, holding everything you had: inventory, armour, experience, and items from other mods (Curios and the like). One click puts it all back where it was, armour back on. Explosions, the Wither and the Dragon can't destroy it, and if you fall into the void it floats at the edge of the world.
- Drag bodies. Sneak and use an empty hand to take one by the shoulders and drag it along.
- String them up or nail them to a wall. Hang a body from a fence or a ceiling with a lead, or nail it to a wall with an arrow, sword, trident, axe or pickaxe.
- Monster corpses. Zombies, skeletons and other humanoid mobs can leave a body with their drops on it. Off by default:
/gamerule remainsMobCorpses true. - Mob farms are recognised. Where things die over and over, nothing is left lying.
- How brutal? Chosen when you create a world, from bones only to everything. Change it later with
/gamerule remainsBrutality. - Silk Touch picks up a whole body, with everything still on it, to put down somewhere else. In creative, middle click does the same.
- Rain washes blood away, on the ground, on walls and under the bodies.
- Blood trails from dragging can be switched off:
/gamerule remainsBloodSmears false. - Elytras are drawn on the backs of the dead.
- Short one-time hints the first time you search, drag or hang a body.
- Another grave mod installed (Corpse, GraveStone, Tombstone, YIGD)? Remains notices and leaves player deaths to it.
Changed
- The Chronicle, story pages, the atlas, achievements and coins are gone from Remains. They are part of Vaskars Opus now.
Note for existing worlds
Chronicles and coins from 0.3.0 disappear from inventories when you update. Bodies stay.
