# Varied Commodities (1.20.1 port) — Changelog

## 1.2

Fixes for everything reported in the first round of in-game testing, plus one feature
brought back from the 1.12.2 original.

### Fixed

- **Thrown weapons and projectiles always flew south.** Kunai, shuriken, throwing weapons,
bullets, slingshot stones and the holy hand grenade ignored where you were looking and
always travelled due south. The projectile entity was never given the thrower's yaw/pitch,
so it aimed from a default rotation of 0. Staffs were unaffected because they re-aimed the
spell on release.
- **Stray textures on top of chairs, couches and wooden couches.** Model boxes that stick out
above the block (chair backs, couch backs, crates and more) were getting auto-generated
texture coordinates outside the 0–16 range. Since 1.20.1 packs block textures into an
atlas, those faces sampled whatever texture happened to sit next to them. 224 faces across
17 models now carry explicit, in-range coordinates.
- **Banner flags were upside down and split across the middle.** The flag is 27px tall and
spans two blocks, but both halves were drawing the whole flag texture, so the scalloped
bottom edge showed up as a gap in the middle of the banner. Each half now maps to its own
part of the texture. The same underlying issue (wrong corner order on explicit UVs, 610
faces) is fixed project-wide; it was only visible on textures with a clear orientation.
- **Emblems on banners and emblem signs were twice their intended size.** Non-block items use
a FIXED display transform with scale 1, not the 0.5 that block items use; the extra
division doubled every emblem.
- **Sitting height.** You floated a few pixels above chairs, stools and couches. Rider height
is now derived from each seat's actual cushion/plank height, so your legs rest on the seat.
- **Wall-mounted candles faced the wrong way.** The candle model sat on the opposite side of
the block from its own hitbox. Wall-mounted lamps were already correct and are unchanged.
- **Big signs and tombstones showed their text on the back.** The board hangs on the far side
of the block and the writing belongs on the near side, facing the player who placed it.
- **The book on the book stand was misplaced.** It is now laid flat on the stand exactly as in
1.12.2, with the original page-open pose.
- **Inventory icons for two-block furniture only showed the bottom half.** Tall lamps lost
their shade, banners their flag and weapon racks their upper section. Icons now show the
whole piece, squashed to fit, the same way the original did.

### Added

- **Shelves connect again.** Placing shelves side by side with the same facing merges them
into one run by hiding the supports between them, exactly like the 1.12.2 version. Mixed
wood types connect too, matching the original behaviour.

## 1.1

- **Fixed exponential item duplication at the carpentry bench.** Taking the result of any
4×4 carpentry recipe doubled the ingredients left in the grid every time. The output slot
only looked up vanilla crafting recipes when deciding what to leave behind, and on a miss
it handed back the grid's own item stacks, which then got merged into themselves. Vanilla
crafting tables were never affected.
