Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Vanlied Realms 0.1.0
Hello, and thank you for trying this. It is the first release, it is early, and the notes below say plainly what is in it and what is not.
What it adds
Two new places in the Overworld: Starnfell and Barrowholt.
They are not dimensions. There is no portal and no gate — you walk or fly to them. Each world has one of each, far apart, and the seed decides which direction. They are large enough to get lost in.
Starnfell is cold and pale. Violet crust over starworn stone, split by fractures, with basins, standing pillars and a low lichen glow that lights the ground at night. Barrowholt is hot and dry and quiet, built of cinderstone and ash, with dead standing wood and a mushroom that glows in the caves.
Both have their own stone, their own nine ores, their own materials, and their own ground plants.
What it removes, and this is the important part
The Nether and the End are off. Their portals do not work, and the 159 vanilla items that come only from those places are gone from the creative menu.
There is no config option to turn this back on. If a working Nether matters to your world, this mod is not the right one for it, and it is better to know that before you install it than after.
Netherite is the exception. It stays in the game — you mine it in Barrowholt instead. Raw ancient alloy smelts into netherite scrap one for one, so a netherite ingot costs exactly what it always cost. The upgrade template that used to come only from a bastion can be crafted.
What you need
Terralith. It is a required dependency.
What is not in it yet
No mobs. Both places are empty of creatures, on purpose — better empty than filled with the wrong thing while the real ones are being made.
No buildings. What you find are natural formations, not ruins or structures.
The plants can be looked at but not yet harvested into anything.
More is coming. This is the ground for it.
This mod has no additional files
