Quickstart

1. 2. Hold it and use it to summon a watcher four blocks behind you. The space behind you must be clear.
3. Turn around and try to meet its gaze—it vanishes when you look directly at it with a clear line of sight.

The item has a 15-second cooldown after a successful summon.

Overview

The Vanishing Watcher is a reusable summoning item. It calls forth a silent, motionless, Enderman-like watcher that observes the nearest player. It is harmless and cannot be damaged.

How To Use

Use the item while holding it to summon the watcher behind you. A successful summon makes a brief teleport sound. If there isn’t enough room behind you, the watcher won’t appear.

Craft one Vanishing Watcher from phantom membranes, black dye, and an Eye of Ender:

Abilities And Mechanics

• The watcher stays in place and silently faces the nearest player within 24 blocks.
• It vanishes when that player looks directly at it and has a clear line of sight.
• If nobody makes it vanish, it disappears after about 60 seconds.
