The adventurer's update 2.0.0 is here! Many changes and just enough time, so let's get down to it: (Main menu will not be updated for a day or two).

Big changes:

Staffs can now only be used if the other hand if empty. (This is mainly to help with stopping staffs from being used together while also being easier to make add new staffs to the mod compared to the older system.

Some abilities now have cool downs between uses (Only 3 so far), indicated by a special potion effect.

Baseline testing has been setup for a new system of durability regeneration using a potion effect instead of the slightly glitchy system used by the wither and dragon staffs now. (This has not been implemented yet, but will see integration through future updates).

New Additions:

This was a fairly large update and there is a good amount to go over so lets get to it:

Enderglass staff return:

Some might remember an couple things being removed from the mod's files in 1.3.0, one of which was the unused enderglass staff. It was originally removed due to it not being able to do what it was intended, but it has now made a return!

Stats: 450 durability, 5 attack damage

Mainhand: Teleport upward 4 blocks (4 durability), or when sneaking, teleport up 7 blocks (7 durability).

Offhand: Sneak and right click to set a specific point then right click normally to teleport back to that spot (105 durability).

Slime staff:

The redstone staff's long lost brother is now craftable, and is very strong!

Stats: 185 durability, 4 attack damage

Mainhand: Jump boost 4 (5 durability), or when sneaking use the sticky piston on the end to get a massive jump boost 14 for one giant leap.

Offhand: Passive gives jump boost 2 and new potion effect "Slimy" which completely negates fall damage. (Takes 2 durability every 1.5 seconds).

Concrete Staffs:

Every wanted a staff for every color of Minecraft dye? Wish no longer, as the 16 new and colorful staffs make their way into this update.

Stats: 325 durability, 4.5 attack damage.

Mainhand: Block an attacks for 1.5 seconds with resistance 5, but leaving you with slowness, mining fatigue and weakness for up to half a second after (15 durability).

Offhand: Reset fall distance to 2 blocks (3 durability).

Ghast Staff:

Wanted to float around like a ghast? No? Well too bad, because the Ghast staff is here.

Stats: 950 durability, 5.5 attack damage.

Mainhand: Passive gives levitation 2 while sprinting (8 durability / second). And when right clicked gives levitation 5 for 2.5 seconds (10 durability). If sneaking, a right click will explode the area under you and skyrocket you upwards (even if midair) (20 durabiltiy) (15 second cooldown).

Offhand: Reset fall distance to -5 blocks and gain speed 3 for 4 seconds (15 durability).

Meteorite Staff (Nether):

Part of the three brother staffs and has a fiery temper.

Stats: 725 durability, 6 attack damage.

Mainhand: All three meteorite staffs share the same mainhand ability (Check the overworld staff on the main description for more detail).

Offhand: When crouching it replaces a stone block or netherrack with a glowstone infused version of the block with a light level of 15 (10 durability), and when used normally it gives speed 2 and haste 3 for 15 seconds (12 durability).

Meteorite Staff (End):

The youngest of the three meteorite staffs, and is great at hiding.

Stats: 725 durability, 6.5 attack damage.

Mainhand: Same as other two meteorite staffs.

Offhand: Passively gives invisibility and regeneration 2 when crouching (5 durability / 4 seconds).

Staff of the Ghost Rider:

Some cowboy probably left this in the last saloon he went to. It seems too unpractical for you to craft for yourself. Lucky for you it seems some abandoned saloons have unearthed in the desert, maybe one will be there.

Stats: 150 durability, 5 attack damage.

Mainhand: speed 5 for a mini dash (5 durability).

Offhand: Ghost rider potion effect for 1 minute (20 durability). (Ghost rider effect gives the player invisibility when riding any mob).

Gives bleeding 100% of the time on hit.

Plasma Staff:

The brute of 2.0.0. These staffs were created by some advanced ancient beings, but were broken apart and scattered across the dimensions. Maybe it was for their own good? But anyways you will have to find 3 pieces of it, one in each dimension. (You didn't hear this from me, but them are probably locked away in some special chest to which you'd need a special key and a meteorite of the dimension you are in). But.. they wouldn't leave these pieces unguarded... would they?

Stats: 3,200 durability, 8 attack damage.

Mainhand: Jump boost 8 (5 durability). Passively negates fall damage when crouching in the main hand and does not consume durability.

Offhand: Passively gives speed 2 while sprinting. When right clicked summons several lightning strikes around you charges you with special plasma for 20 seconds (30 durability) (1 minute cooldown).

This charged plasma seems to cause your attacks to negatively charge enemies and cause them to levitate, who knows what happens when that negative charge reaches its max?

New Blocks:

Meteorites (Nether and End)

Ghast Brick

Plasma (Liquid)

Plasma Chest

New Items:

Meteorite Shards (Nether and End)

Ghast Rod

Ghast Powder

(Empty) Mysterious Keys (Overworld, Nether and End)

Overworld Key

Nether Key

End Key

New Structures:

Abandoned Saloon (0.5% spawn chance on the surface in desert biome)

Darkforge (0.5% spawn chance underground)

Nether Spring (5% spawn chance in nether underground)

Dark Nether Spring (5% spawn chance in nether underground)

End Meteor (0.5% spawn chance floating in end sky).

End Safehold (0.05% spawn chance on surface if the end)

Changes:

Made meteorite blocks easier to craft (only requires 4).

Removed saturation ability from golden apple staff and made haste ability a constant (whether crouching or not).

Removed the jump boost from wither staff mainhand and removed resistance from offhand.

Wither staff gives extra potion effect called with marked to targets and the last hit target gets blindness and slowness when offhand ability is used.

Changed flint block recipe to require more iron and less flint.

Changed weaver mainhand to give potion effect poison touch for 30 seconds, giving hits with the staff a 50% chance to poison enemies.

Crafting Recipes Changed/Added in 2.0.0

All concrete staffs have the same recipe: 3 of whichever concrete color you want in a line.
