Project Description
Welcome to UsefulDecor, a modification that expands the possibilities of house decoration in Minecraft by focusing on functionality and immersion. We believe that furniture and building elements should not just look good, but also serve a practical purpose.
This mod is currently in its early development stages (Version 0.0.1-beta-WIP) and provides a foundational set of items to start building a more interactive and secure home.

Interactive & Secure Doors
We've added unique door models that look great and serve a practical purpose.
- Lock Mechanism: Use the Key item to lock these doors.
- Security Note: Locked doors are not indestructible but provide an extra layer of defense against intruders in survival mode, making breaking them more difficult.
Decorative Storage Chests
New variations of storage units that seamlessly blend into your interior design without losing their core function.
Stylized Windows
A specific Oak Window block that offers a better aesthetic fit for wooden structures than standard glass panes.
The Key Item
An essential tool for interacting with the mod's security features. More functionality is planned for future updates.
Clocks & Redstone Alarms
A complete timekeeping system featuring 6 unique clock variants to fit any build.
Redstone Alarm:
Set your desired time, and the clock will emit a Redstone Signal when the time arrives. Great for automating bases or creating custom daytime triggers.
Trash Can
A practical and functional bin block designed to keep your home tidy.
Item Disposal:
Easily interact with the block to discard unwanted items and blocks directly from your inventory.
⚠️ Development Status (WIP)
Version 0.0.1-beta is an early test build. Please be aware of the following:
- Potential Bugs: Expect some issues and report them in the Issues section.
- Crafting Recipes: Recipes may change in future updates.
- Backups: It is highly recommended to back up your world before updating the mod.
Future Plans
We have many ideas for UsefulDecor:
- Expanding the range of materials (Birch, Spruce, Dark Oak, etc.).
- A more robust locking system and key management.
- More types of interactive blocks and furniture.
