Upgradeable Ender Chest
Your Ender Chest — but it grows. This mod keeps Minecraft's Ender Chest **exactly as it is** and
puts a bigger screen behind it: extra storage tabs, a search box, an auto-filter with sorting, and
buttons that move whole piles of items for you.

## What it adds
### Two extra storage tabs
Start with vanilla's 27 slots. Install **Storage Tab Upgrade I** for a second tab and
**Storage Tab Upgrade II** for a third, reaching 81 slots of your own storage, all of it accessible
from the same Ender Chest. Each tab is a separate 27-slot page.
### Search across every tab you have unlocked
Type in the search box and the mod looks through all of your tabs for matching items, then shows
you where they are. Click a result to jump to it. Requires the **Search Upgrade**.
### Auto-filter and sorting
Build a personal filter of item types, then use it to deposit or find things fast. Requires the
**Auto-Filter Upgrade**.
- **Sort** the active tab by default order, by name, or by stack size.
- Sorting also **merges compatible stacks**, so partial piles become full ones. It never changes how
many items you own.
- The filter works on item types, so a filter entry matches every variant of that item.
### One-click deposit
- **Deposit All** — sweep your inventory into the current tab.
- **Matching** — deposit only the items on your filter.
- **By Category** — pick a category and deposit just that: Blocks, Tools, Combat, Food, Potions or
Misc.

Put the upgrade item into the **Upgrade** slot in the Ender Chest screen and close the screen. It
is consumed and enabled permanently for that player.
**Storage Tab Upgrade II will not install before Storage Tab Upgrade I.** If you try, the item just
sits in the slot waiting for you — nothing is lost.
## Recipes
All four recipes are unlocked **immediately and permanently**, so they are always visible in the
crafting table's recipe book — no need to collect the materials first.

The layouts were squeezed into the vanilla 3×3 grid, which means some counts are lower than a
square grid would allow (for example the Auto-Filter Upgrade uses 2 Ancient Debris instead of 4,
and two of the Storage Tab recipes use 4 Diamond Blocks instead of 8). That is deliberate — it is
what is actually implemented.
## Vanilla behaviour is preserved
- **Your existing Ender Chest is untouched.** Tab 1 *is* the vanilla Ender Chest inventory, saved
by vanilla exactly as before. Nothing is duplicated or reset.
- The Ender Chest block, its block entity and its crafting recipe are not changed.
- Storage is still per-player.
- A solid block above the chest still keeps it shut.
- Opening still awards the `open_enderchest` statistic.
- Nearby piglins are still angered.
- The lid animation still plays.
## How it works
Everything is decided by the server. The client sends nothing but which button you pressed; slot
contents move through the normal vanilla container protocol. Installed upgrades, the sort mode and
your filter are stored per player under your UUID and are written on autosave and on server
shutdown. Vanilla continues to save the first tab.
## Installing
1. Install Fabric Loader for Minecraft 26.3.
2. Put Fabric API in your `mods` folder.
3. Put `upgradeable-ender-chest-1.0.0.jar` in your `mods` folder.
4. Do the same on the server.
## Notes
- The screen is drawn from simple panels rather than a background texture, so it looks plainer than
a vanilla container.
- Search matches item names and item ids only, not enchantments or components.
- Search, the filter, sorting and the matching deposit all require their upgrade; **Deposit All**
and **By Category** work without any upgrade.
