This mod adds extra smithing templates to allow you to upgrade your starting tools to follow you through your journey. Also features support with Spartan Weaponry. (Note: The progression goes wood->iron->diamond->netherite. Gold can be upgraded to iron.)
Upgradable Tools
This mods adds more smithing templates to the game, so your beloved tools can get the upgrades they deserve, rather than being discarded.
The crafting recipe uses 7 of the current materials and 1 of the desired material. For example, 7 iron ingots and 1 diamond will get a diamond upgrade.
Currently, the mod allows vanilla progression of wood -> iron -> diamond, and gold -> iron
The recipes are as follows:
Stone Upgrade: 7 planks and 1 cobblestone.
Iron Upgrade: 7 cobblestone and 1 iron ingot.
Diamond Upgrade: 7 iron ingots and 1 diamond.
The mod currently works with all vanilla tools and armour, excluding leather and chainmail, and also works with Spartan Weaponry.
Feel free to use it in any modpacks.
