TL;DR

â€¢ Official, unmodified Setokaiba218 mods may be used on servers and included in modpacks.
â€¢ Credit is appreciated but is not required for ordinary modpack inclusion.
â€¢ Do not reupload, mirror, modify, fork, port, backport, sell, or reuse protected project content without written permission.
â€¢ Official modpacks may be played, streamed, used on servers, and privately modified, but copied or altered versions may not be publicly redistributed.
â€¢ Monetised videos and livestreams are allowed.
â€¢ Only projects clearly labelled â€œTemplateâ€ may be reused as templates, and they require credit.
â€¢ Independent add-ons and â€œinspired byâ€ projects are allowed when they do not copy protected content or imply an official connection.
â€¢ Third-party content remains subject to its own licence.
â€¢ Anything else requires written permission.

The TL;DR is only a summary. The full terms below control if there is any difference.

1. DEFINITIONS

1.1 â€œSetokaiba218â€ means the creator and copyright holder publishing a Project under this licence.

1.2 â€œProjectâ€ means any mod, modpack, plugin, datapack, script, tool, application, library, configuration set, quest line, documentation, texture, model, audio file, design, website material, or other work expressly released under this licence.

1.3 â€œModâ€ includes a Minecraft mod, plugin, library, datapack, script, compatibility component, or similar software project.

1.4 â€œModpackâ€ means a curated collection of mods and related original content such as configurations, scripts, quests, documentation, artwork, branding, and pack-specific files.

1.5 â€œOfficial Sourceâ€ means a download page, repository, website, or account controlled or expressly approved by Setokaiba218, including verified CurseForge, Modrinth, or GitHub project pages.

1.6 â€œOfficial Releaseâ€ means an unmodified copy of a Project obtained from an Official Source or through an authorised platform dependency or manifest system.

1.7 â€œProtected Contentâ€ means original code, scripts, configurations, quests, textures, models, audio, writing, documentation, designs, branding, and other copyrightable material owned by Setokaiba218.

1.8 â€œWritten Permissionâ€ means permission given by Setokaiba218 in a durable written form, including email, a signed agreement, or a clearly identifiable message from an official account.

2. OWNERSHIP

2.1 Setokaiba218 retains all copyright and other applicable intellectual-property rights in Protected Content.

2.2 Downloading, installing, running, or contributing to a Project does not transfer ownership of the Project or its Protected Content.

2.3 A Modpack may contain third-party mods and assets. Those items remain owned by their respective creators and are governed by their respective licences. This licence applies only to material owned by Setokaiba218.

2.4 Minecraft, Mojang, Microsoft, Forge, NeoForge, Fabric, CurseForge, Modrinth, and other third-party names, trademarks, software, and assets remain the property of their respective owners.

3. GENERAL LICENCE GRANT

Subject to compliance with this licence, Setokaiba218 grants users a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to download, install, run, and use an Official Release for the purposes expressly permitted below.

No permission is granted by implication. Rights not expressly granted are reserved.

4. PERMITTED USE OF MODS

You may:

4.1 Download and use an Official Release for personal use.

4.2 Install and run an Official Release on private, community, or public Minecraft servers.

4.3 Use an Official Release on a monetised server, provided that:
a. users are not charged specifically for access to the Mod or its protected features;
b. the Mod itself is not sold or presented as paid content;
c. the server follows the applicable Minecraft rules and platform rules; and
d. no official affiliation with Setokaiba218 is implied.

4.4 Include an Official Release in a legitimate modpack, subject to Section 5.

4.5 Make reasonable backup copies for permitted personal or server-administration use.

4.6 Inspect, test, and analyse a Mod for compatibility, responsible security research, learning, or bug reporting, provided that Protected Content is not copied into another project or publicly redistributed.

5. MODPACK INCLUSION

An Official Release of a Mod may be included in a modpack if all of the following conditions are met:

5.1 The Mod is not modified, patched, renamed, or stripped of licence or attribution information.

5.2 The Mod is obtained from an Official Source or added through the hosting platformâ€™s authorised dependency, manifest, or download system.

5.3 Where a recognised modpack platform or server-pack system requires the official JAR to be embedded, the unmodified official JAR may be redistributed solely as part of that legitimate modpack or server pack.

5.4 The Mod is not offered as a separate mirror or standalone download.

5.5 The modpack does not claim ownership or authorship of the Mod.

5.6 Access to the Mod or modpack files is not sold or placed behind a mandatory payment.

5.7 The modpack complies with Minecraftâ€™s rules and the rules of its distribution platform.

5.8 Ordinary modpack inclusion does not require credit, although credit and a link to the Official Source are appreciated.

5.9 Setokaiba218 may publish project-specific restrictions where technically, contractually, or legally necessary. A clearly displayed project-specific notice takes priority over the general modpack permission for that Project.

6. PERMITTED USE OF MODPACKS

You may:

6.1 Download and play an Official Release of a Modpack.

6.2 Install and operate the Modpack on a private, community, or public server.

6.3 Make private changes to your own local or server installation.

6.4 Create backups for personal or server-administration use.

6.5 Create and monetise videos, reviews, tutorials, screenshots, and livestreams featuring the Modpack.

Private modifications do not grant permission to publish or redistribute an altered copy of the Modpack.

7. CONTENT CREATION

You may:

7.1 Stream, record, review, showcase, or discuss a Project.

7.2 Monetise videos and livestreams through advertisements, subscriptions, memberships, sponsorships, donations, or similar platform features.

7.3 Use reasonable screenshots, project names, and gameplay footage to identify the Project being shown.

You may not falsely claim sponsorship, approval, partnership, employment, or other official affiliation with Setokaiba218.

8. GENERAL RESTRICTIONS

Unless this licence, applicable law, or Written Permission expressly allows it, you may not:

8.1 Reupload, mirror, republish, or redistribute a Project as a standalone download.

8.2 Publish a modified version, fork, unofficial build, port, backport, conversion, continuation, or derivative version of a Project.

8.3 Copy, extract, adapt, translate, or reuse Protected Content in another mod, modpack, game, application, website, dataset, product, or service.

8.4 Decompile, reverse engineer, or extract Protected Content for the purpose of copying or reusing it, except where applicable law provides a right that cannot be restricted.

8.5 Sell, rent, sublicense, paywall, or commercially distribute Project files.

8.6 Bundle a Project with malware, adware, spyware, unwanted software, deceptive installers, or unrelated paid products.

8.7 Remove or alter copyright notices, licence files, authorship information, credits, or identifying metadata.

8.8 Present a Project or substantial part of it as your own creation.

8.9 Use a Project in a manner that violates applicable law, Minecraftâ€™s rules, or a distribution platformâ€™s rules.

8.10 Use automated systems or deceptive methods to generate fraudulent downloads, rewards, engagement, or revenue involving a Project.

9. MODPACK-SPECIFIC RESTRICTIONS

Unless Written Permission is granted, you may not:

9.1 Publish a copied, renamed, lightly altered, or substantially derived version of a Setokaiba218 Modpack.

9.2 Copy pack-specific scripts, quests, configurations, progression systems, documentation, artwork, branding, or other Protected Content into another publicly distributed modpack.

9.3 Redistribute an altered client pack or server pack.

9.4 Claim ownership over third-party mods included in the Modpack.

9.5 Use the Modpackâ€™s identity, name, logo, or presentation to market an unofficial continuation or replacement.

Individual ideas, game mechanics, themes, and facts are not claimed where copyright law does not protect them. This section concerns copying or adapting protected expression and materials.

10. ADD-ONS, COMPATIBILITY PROJECTS, AND â€œINSPIRED BYâ€ WORK

You may create an independent add-on, integration, compatibility project, or project inspired by a Setokaiba218 Project if:

10.1 No Protected Content is copied, extracted, bundled, or redistributed.

10.2 The work uses only lawful interfaces, dependencies, public APIs, or independently created code and assets.

10.3 Users are directed to an Official Source to obtain any required Setokaiba218 Project.

10.4 The name, branding, and presentation do not create confusion or imply that the work is official.

10.5 Any statement such as â€œinspired by,â€ â€œcompatible with,â€ or â€œadd-on forâ€ is accurate and clearly identifies the work as independent and unofficial.

This permission does not allow modified JARs, unofficial ports, copied implementations, or replacement distributions.

11. BRANDING AND IDENTITY

Without Written Permission, you may not:

11.1 Use the Setokaiba218 name, logo, visual identity, or project branding as your own.

11.2 Register or use a confusingly similar project name, account, domain, or branding intended to imply affiliation.

11.3 Present yourself as a representative, employee, partner, or official distributor of Setokaiba218.

11.4 Use project artwork or branding on merchandise or paid products.

Accurate, non-misleading references used for reviews, compatibility descriptions, credits, commentary, or lawful discussion are permitted.

12. TEMPLATE PROJECTS

12.1 A Project is a â€œTemplateâ€ only when Setokaiba218 expressly labels it as a Template.

12.2 A labelled Template may be modified, forked, used as a base, and redistributed subject to any project-specific conditions included with it.

12.3 Unless the Template states otherwise:
a. visible credit to Setokaiba218 and a link to the original Template are required;
b. Setokaiba218 retains ownership of the original Template content;
c. you retain ownership of your original additions;
d. you may not claim that the original Template was created entirely by you; and
e. Setokaiba218 branding may not be used to imply that your version is official.

12.4 Projects not expressly labelled as Templates do not receive the permissions in this section.

13. CONTRIBUTIONS

13.1 Feedback, ideas, feature requests, and bug reports do not transfer ownership of unrelated intellectual property.

13.2 Unless a separate signed agreement states otherwise, a contributor retains copyright in their original contribution.

13.3 By intentionally submitting code, artwork, documentation, or another contribution to an official Project repository with notice of this licence, the contributor grants Setokaiba218 a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, distribute, sublicense, and include that contribution as part of the Project and related releases.

13.4 A contributor confirms that they have the right to submit the contribution and grant the rights described above.

13.5 Exclusive ownership or a transfer of copyright requires a separate written agreement signed by the relevant parties.

14. WRITTEN PERMISSIONS

14.1 Setokaiba218 may grant additional permission for a specific person, organisation, project, or use.

14.2 Written Permission:
a. applies only to the recipient and use described;
b. does not transfer ownership unless it expressly says so;
c. may include additional conditions;
d. may not be transferred to another person without approval; and
e. ends if its conditions are materially breached.

14.3 Permission for one Project or use does not imply permission for another.

15. TERMINATION

15.1 Rights granted under this licence terminate automatically when a user materially breaches its terms.

15.2 Following termination, the user must stop the unauthorised use and remove unauthorised public copies within a reasonable period.

15.3 Rights may be reinstated through Written Permission after the breach has been corrected.

15.4 Termination does not affect rights and remedies already available to Setokaiba218.

16. ENFORCEMENT

Unauthorised use may result in:

16.1 A request to stop the activity or remove the material.

16.2 A copyright or platform complaint.

16.3 Removal of permission previously granted for the affected use.

16.4 A cease-and-desist request.

16.5 Legal action or other remedies where appropriate.

Nothing in this section guarantees that any particular enforcement step will be taken before another.

17. FAIR DEALING, INTEROPERABILITY, AND MANDATORY RIGHTS

Nothing in this licence is intended to restrict fair dealing, lawful quotation, criticism, review, reporting, interoperability rights, security research rights, or any other right or exception that applicable law does not allow a private licence to exclude.

18. DISCLAIMER

18.1 Projects are provided â€œas isâ€ and â€œas available.â€

18.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Setokaiba218 gives no warranty that a Project will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every system, suitable for a particular purpose, or free from data loss.

18.3 Users are responsible for maintaining suitable backups and deciding whether a Project is appropriate for their system or server.

19. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Setokaiba218 is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, lost profits, loss of opportunity, server downtime, corrupted worlds, compatibility problems, or damage resulting from the installation, use, modification, or inability to use a Project.

Nothing in this licence excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

20. LICENCE VERSIONS AND CHANGES

20.1 Each Project release remains governed by the licence version supplied with or clearly assigned to that release.

20.2 Updated licence terms apply to new releases from their stated effective date.

20.3 A later licence version does not automatically replace the licence attached to an earlier release.

20.4 Setokaiba218 may announce new licence versions through official project pages, repositories, Discord announcements, or other official channels.

21. SEVERABILITY

If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

22. NO WAIVER

A failure or delay in enforcing a provision does not permanently waive the right to enforce that provision or another provision later.

23. GOVERNING LAW

Unless mandatory law requires otherwise, this licence is governed by the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights a user has under applicable local law.

24. MINECRAFT DISCLAIMER

NOT AN OFFICIAL MINECRAFT PRODUCT. NOT APPROVED BY OR ASSOCIATED WITH MOJANG OR MICROSOFT.

Unresolved Mod Fixes
